Hello all, I figured i've trolled around this place enough and finally decided to post something useful that (hopefully) many other's can learn from.

My dive into affiliate marketing.

a little background:

I've worked for a national SEO firm before leaving to start picking up my own clients and making my own money being my own boss.

I have local SEO clients that pay my bills and a little bit extra. Not much.
I've been trying to pick up clients and am trying to hone my technique before i hit the sales hard.

My clients now are:
A female sexual enhancement product.
a landscaping company
a cosmetic labeling company

these are just enough to get by.

I now have a $75 Ads Voucher and will also invest in a domain and hosting for my affiliate marketing campaign.

I've been accepted to the LazyProfits network but am trying very hard to get accepted to PeerFly before I begin the process.

I will not be revealing my niche (duh) but don't mind sharing the tools that I use and how I'm using them.

My Toolkit is as follows:

AutoBacklink Bomb
Sick Submitter
Sliq Submitter Plus
SEO Powersuite
Market Samurai
SENuke
ScrapeBox
Magic Submitter
Speed PPC
Bookmarking Demon

I sent in my Peerfly application on Friday and will let you all know when I get a response.

Hopefully i can learn from your insight and others can learn as they follow my process.

Tom.

Working on my Cosmetic Labeling client today as i await a response from peerfly. I've skyped Corey but have yet to receive a response (i'm new york based...10:00 AM)

Also got a interesting barter request for a Log Cabin rental for a weekend in the Adirondaks for a month's worth of SEO work...might take them up on this!

just got accepted to Peerfly. time to research offers and develop a strategy! will have a plan and domain by the end of the night.

that was a bit fast. I think i found two niche's i'd like to market towards.

going to set up a campaign and write 2 articles tonight with my woman. Wish me luck!

Thinking of using the Socrates theme and getting things running by end of the day tomorrow.

Very curious about the niche i've chosen, but i've been told that to figure these things out you just need to hit the ground running.

Also wondering of e-mail submits. I've wrote what i consider to be a pretty good ad for social ppc (facebook, twitter, etc) wondering if this sort of thing could possibly work? I see these email submit offers (1.40 per conversion in some cases) as some of the most highly used.

Are these profitable?

does anyone have success with these?

will keep you all updated.

Hey,

I wouldn't run e-mail submits on a facebook as

1) Good luck getting your ads accepted

2) It sucks when you have an email submit campaign going and then BAM they turn on the scrub.

But I'd def recommend lead gen, something like dating, or even EDU I heard. Personally, I've only ran dating and some biz opp lead gens (dunno how I got em approved :D) on facebook.

Also, when I first started I was running a nice offer paying like $5 something and then never really gave a similar offer paying $3 something a second look. Finally I split tested it and what'd ya know, it converts way better and enough to make up for the lower payout. So don't just be attracted to the higher payouts, if you see two similar offers don't automatically go for the higher one, split test.

Great information, I was entertaining the thought of doing e-mail submits but what you said makes more sense. I see the dating payouts are a bit lower. Wonder how this will work.

So are the e-mail/zip submit campaigns mainly targeted for e-mail traffic?

Thanks.

In terms of my journal,
I have 3 Wordpress themes for my "reviews" site. FlexSqueeze, Thesis and Socrates. I've used thesis a bit but will try Socrates as I have heard nothing but good things.

As soon as this is done (hopefully by sometime tonight)

I will then work on 2-3 500 word articles to add content to the website as well as post to social profiles.

Tom

I've finished the site. It looks great and i'm excited to begin getting content in it. If i can get 3-4 niche site's out a day with good content I can potentially make very good money from home, while maintaining my daily SEO work.

I've decided to go with FlexSqueeze and it really was simple and looks great.

I highly rec. it.

Hope to have all the copy and articles written tonight and can begin promotion tomorrow.

Also going to use my adwords vouchers.

Hope that google doesn't have problems indexing my new site (heard they were having alot of problems with indexing)

also thinking of ways to monetize twitter.

Found a few potential long term targets for submits.

Started really fleshing out some nice content (thanks TheBestSpinner) and getting a quality site put together.

Question:

When doing PPC for cpa offers, does your money site point towards your affiliate DIRECT order/submit page with a domain redirect? or should you just point it towards your information site with banners/links in hopes they click?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tom
