Tis the season for giving, and receiving WFReview for FREE! Details inside.

I donated 500 bucks to two needy families that another forum I'm on grouped together to help these people. Together we raised a little over 4k which will be split between the families.

Jesse Hamilton, 29, was a police officer in Pasadena Texas, and my classmate when I was a child. He was killed in the line of duty when responding to a woman's domestic abuse call, ambushed and shot in the head. He left a wife and two children. Quote:
It is with overwhelming sadness that I announce the loss of one of our Pasadena Police Officers. Officer Jesse Hamilton, assigned to the Patrol Division, was killed in the line of duty early Friday morning. Officer Hamilton, a 4 ½ year veteran of the department is survived by his wife Amanda and their two children, Audrey and Caelan.

It is at times like this that we are reminded how our officers put their life on the line each day to protect and serve the citizens of Pasadena. I ask that you keep Jesse’s family in your thoughts and prayers during their time of grief.

ey man I’m on a local car forum in Dallas and there is a guy trying to raise money for a needy family here. This is a very small forum compared to OT and the guy is trying to get donations for them. Some people have already offered to buy them stuff and gave them a couch. It’s a single mom with two little boys. Here’s the link to the thread… I don’t know the guy personally but he seems legit.

Trying to help a homeless family.... - DFWstangs Forums

there is a lady I work with occasionally that is a substitute at the Elementary school I work at. She doesn’t have a job everyday but works when there is a teacher out. She doesnt have much and she has been homeless for the last 6 months living at the Arlington night shelter. She has two elementary aged kids who also live at the shelter with her. They lost the apt. they were in at the end of April because she was no longer able to afford rent. She put some of their things in a monthly storage but sold a lot of it to get some cash. I have given them some of my Rangers season tickets and parking passes so that she can take her kids to a baseball game. She has been saving her money and is fixing to move back into a small apartment so that her kids don't have to live in the shelter. She has not asked anyone for any help but I like to help people when I am able to. In talking to her I know she needs to buy a couch and a microwave for sure. She was telling me today that her kids love chinese food and every once in a while she takes them out to eat. When they go they all split one dinner special that a local place has for $5. I hate seeing people in this position especially when they ARE working and trying to make a living. Quote:
the family could pretty much use any clothes or toys for the two boys. One is in 1st grade and the other 3rd grade. The mom is a size 14/16 and she could probably use some clothes as well. Other ideas would be a wal-mart or restaurant gift cards.

1st grader
shirt: 10/12 - kids medium
pants: 5
shoe: 1 - 1 1/2

3rd grader
shirt: 14/16 - kids large
pants: 10/12
shoe: 1 - 1 1/2

She has a 99 Saturn that she bought before they lost their last home that they keep most of their clothes in now while staying at the shelter.

I came over from a post by Shawn Collins, I think this is a *great* idea. I donate frequently to a variety of charities, so I bought the script as a thank you to you for getting other people to think about giving too.

So they only get to eat once every 30 days? ;)

Teach a man to fish....

Hahaha..no. We are actually one of the cooking teams.
We were actually cooking three times the last two weeks.

The kitchen is open Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri and Sundays in winter.

Come over, we got some nice food for you, too. No need to be ashamed.

@bb_Wolfe .. took care of that. Thanks man.

I think donating something not only in one special moment, i believe we will get more than we are donate, i'm not talking about WFReview, i'm talking about humanity aspect on our life, my wife and i donating our money to help some child that already don't have a father, i hope with my money they can scholl and get better education and continue with better live, actually it only $20 perkids permonth but you can help them to have a better future.

ps. i don't post this because i want free or WFReview discount but want to give support and appreciate to bbwolves that already remind us about giving and charity to other people.

Regards
