ask for proof of ownership of photo...then if he shows it remove the photo and replace...dont touch the article he can't tell you to take it down

dont ask him for proof of ownership. just replace the pciture and move on. do not reply or answer to his email. you'll be fine

I wouldn't have even paid attention to it. Until you get a letter from their lawyer, nothing will happen.

Even when you get C&D letters from lawyers, they don't mean much. In the case of someone with a website being pissed off, just change the pic and ignore him.

He can't do anything to you.

The stupid thing is, his pic is a dime a dozen. In other words, there are a shitload of other pics I could've used, but I just grabbed one of the first decent ones off of Google images. Needless to say, I've replaced the pic and have forgotten all about it.

I guess "Threat of being sued" as a topic was a little bit overdramatic, but I've honestly never been threatened before and the panic button went off. You guys are fuckin awesome though, this type of comradery is what I love about WF. Tough love but good info.

But this is a good reminder to form some sort of LLC or S-Corp as protection against something that could go sideways in the future though. I've got a young family (baby and a toddler) and the last thing I need is for someone to take away my house and everything else financially all because some didn't like the berries or something stupid like that.
