This American Generation Is A Disgrace To Their Forefathers

So smoking weed will guarantee my offspring to be rich and famous celebrities in award winning movies?

It's a metaphor for how drug activists run from inconvenient truths. A rather beautiful one, I might add.

Don't you feel ashamed of yourself that you support a substance that has been shown to cause psychosis and schizophrenia, as illustrated in the OP?

Cannabis is one of many substances that supposedly induce psychosis and schizophrenia. Alcohol is on that list, as are many prescription pills. Don't you feel ashamed for supporting a system that will prescribe people Xanax to help them get over their Oxycontin addiction and treat heroin addicts with methadone and suboxone?

Do you perceive yourself as a dishonest individual for posting a disjointed, clipped, mish-mash of quotes in a false light, then expecting it to be received as an actual intellectual response?

You really consider yourself an intellectual? :love-smiley-086:

Do you feel stupid for stating that drugs do not affect sperm and subsequent children born to drug addicts? Can you feel the cognitive dissonance when you attempt to ignore this fact and repeat the lie that "it doesn't harm anyone"?

We're talking about marijuana not heroin. Cannabis has been used in obstetrics for centuries.

And here's a larger question for the audience to consider: do the drug addict activists realize how ridiculous they appear when they compare weed today to the hemp that was grown 200 years ago?

Or when they compare the THC concentrations today to the concentrations 200 years ago?

Do you know anything about the cultivation of medical cannabis? Do you know anything about the primary cannabinoids found in cannabis or their roles in the endocannabinoid system? No, you don't.

Do they understand just how doped up they are perceived to be when they state that the founding fathers smoking hemp(which there is meager evidence for) is comparable to the utter retards today smoking weed?

I don't think our founding fathers cannabis use really matters one way or another. There are absolutely retards today smoking weed and giving cannabis a bad name, I can't argue that. However, there are retards out there who drink and give alcohol a bad wrap just like there are retards abusing pain killers and anxiety medicines. Should we outlaw those too?

America is headed down the toilet fast and this latest generation would make the founding fathers turn over in their graves.
Agreed.

Because there's a confederate flag in it? Or because we should commit vehicular homicide on everybody who smokes pot?

If we want to ban everything that will have a negative effect on future offspring, we have a lot of farms to burn down, and a lot of pharmaceutical executives to mow down.

I don't support such a system. Try again.

Cannabis has been used in obstetrics for centuries.

We're talking about the results of longterm use on the user's children, not some one-off application during childbirth. Your mind is clouded.

Do you know anything about the cultivation of medical cannabis?

Look, we put the word "medical" in front of it! Nobody doubts that smoking it can decrease pain; nobody's even disputing that at all.

Good luck giving your wife weed while she's bearing your children, then smoking your "medical" cannabis for that bad back of yours. Let me know how that works out for you and your offspring.

If we want to ban everything that will have a negative effect on future offspring, we have a lot of farms to burn down, and a lot of pharmaceutical executives to mow down.

Might as well not even try, right?

Rather ironic that the pro-drug fanatics' argument has been reduced to "I'm too lazy to follow that path, because that would require too much work".

Hellblazer why don't you explain to us how prohibition was ever a good thing. Pot is just prohibition 2.0.

I don't take any drugs except booze, but I'm for legalising marijuana & MDMA, they are evidently harmless. Am I for legalising cocaine? possibly. Heroin? not a chance in hell.

There's so many grey areas, you can't just say prohibiting heroin is the same as prohibiting alcohol. One shot of heroin and you're fucked, your life becomes all about finding the next hit.

Imbibing means to drink, and who knows whether or not he'll have kids? what if he doesn't want them? Also, do you have any credible sources you can share with us about "genetic malformities" from cannabis consumption?

No he doesn't. He just continues to hide behind the skirt of statism thinking that it is acceptable to kill and imprison people for smoking a plant he doesn't agree with.

You're missing his point entirely. It's not about it being too much work, it's about where you draw the line. Why is cannabis illegal but not alcohol? Long term and chronic alcohol abuse can also cause birth defects and genetic malformities, how come it's not illegal? We give children amphetamines which have shown to cause serious side effects with long term use, how come that's not illegal? The list goes on and on.

One shot of heroin and you're fucked, your life becomes all about finding the next hit.
As someone who spent the better part of two years working around crack and heroin addicts, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Besides, drug addiction is a sickness. Putting people in jail obviously is a poor deterrent, as is any other form of prohibition.

He must not understand how for-profit prisons work or the ramifications of legalizing hemp (read: low psychoactive cannabinoid content strains).

I have plenty of firsthand experience with people trying to recover from drug addiction, and I absolutely support legalizing heroin and everything else. Drug laws just makes things much worse.

I think we were typing this at the same time, haha.

Marijuana use alters sperm:

"Men who smoke marijuana frequently have significantly less seminal fluid, a lower total sperm count and their sperm behave abnormally, all of which may affect fertility adversely, a new study in reproductive physiology at the University at Buffalo has shown."

And cannabis use alters unborn children:

A new study has found that cannabis use by pregnant women has a significant negative effect
on their babies' health.

In what it describes as the largest study of its kind, the research centre analysed more than 400,000 live births over a five-year period, studying the effects of cannabis, opiods and stimulants, on the developing foetus.

"Cannabis use seemed to have quite a significant impact on the baby in terms of the baby's weight being lower and born more often prematurely," she said.

Why does something that produces no victim be banned?
