I'm not American, though I am in America. Aussie Aussie Aussie.

I am going to assume that you are not married and dont have kids . Great write up. + Rep.

Thanks. I've been proposed to in the simple way that women make proposals, and I've had my chance to have kids (ectopic pregnancy.) My advice avoid kids came from many discussions with an older friend, divorced, and with the snip, his points were valid to me at the time.

What I've faced though is that women typically have the drive you train them to have, but eventually they will break your training and do their own thing. At this point you either find you have someone you can agree with, or someone you love and enjoy the company of. If it's the former you are either naive or a very VERY lucky man. I've realized that unless I'm with someone I agree with almost entirely, I'm going to be too selfish to give in as much as they would like, and way too selfish to have kids at this time - I like my own company and I've been in love, but love cant take my breath away as often as the other journeys I've taken.

There's a short novel by Don Delillo called "Cosmopolis" that tells the story of a 28 year old hedge fund manager who loses all of his clients' money taking a gamble on the Yen. The entire novel takes place throughout the course of 1 day, as the main character rides throughout NYC in his limo. He's dispassionate, almost zen-like, and repeats the phrase "let it express itself". That's an attitude/mentality I've been trying to cultivate--when it serves my purposes : )

They get frustrated with having employees because they know they can do a better job, which if not altered will mean they never work well in a team and will never be able to lead a team of any major size as they will be too busy getting involved with the nitty gritty. Lower intelligence can be a blessing as it allows people to be far less tunnel visioned on the minor details.

You just described me.

I am the team. And there is none better. :jester:
