There was a thread floating on here regarding how to set up EIN#'s showing step by step procedures....

i wanted to set up some accounts but didn't want to throw my SSN number around...

please help!! thanks!!!

You have to do it through your secretary of state where you reside... fill out some forms with legit info and you can use it as your business SSN..

The principal officer, general partner, grantor, owner, trustor etc. must have a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (Social Security Number, Employer Identification Number, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) in order to use the online application.

If you only need an EIN because you don't want to reveal your SS# to networks, advertisers, etc. you can file for a DBA.
