The best thing is, you guys can't even defend soccer. You rarely (if ever) hear anyone actually trying to defend the game. Instead soccer fans try and take jabs at those who oppose it, rather defend why it's such a great game.
We can can do so because unlike soccer, American Football is a 100 times the game soccer is both in physicality and in strategy. So keep being mad, you'll acompish nothing but making yourself and the rest of the world look like idiots.

I have to hand it to Rage, the epicness of his trolling is unmatched. It makes sense: I don't know of any other sport that can cause such a big emotional response. Rage, soccer sucked you in.

On the other hand, people who don't like handegg or baseball or curling simply don't bother getting involved in discussions about these sports (let alone start numerous threads about them!), because in contrast to football, these sports don't really evoke emotional responses in those who don't follow them.
Question for marketers: what's a good step towards creating a viral product? Answer: Polarize.

I mean, soccer sucks but do we really need 10 threads about it? Kind of getting out of hand now...
Soccer haters are so much more annoying than soccer fans that try to force everyone to believe that soccer is the best sport...the STS section is ridiculous the past couple weeks, both sides are annoying as hell...why can't we just have one world cup thread?

This hatred sounds like it runs much deeper than the typical "soccer hater" level. Was there some unfortunate sexual experiment that went horribly wrong with a piece of soccer equipment as a child or something?

If soccer is a "sport" hating on soccer is a real mans game. I'm manning up and painting a huge target on my back just to go against the "world" grain.
You don't have to understand or respect it, I really don't care. My work thus-far has spoken for itself. I'm well aware of the feelings on both sides.
If soccer wasn't such an out of control popular sport worldwide, for no apparent reason BTW, I wouldn't have to step in and set the world straight.
