Alright here it goes, How many of you Fucking LOSERS played Magic the Gathering? Be Honest! What Saga did you play, how good were you, do you still have your collection?
 


1. Used to.
2. 4th edition and had some revised.
3. Not that good.

My favorite was the hypnotic specter/mindless thrull/rack deck soo cheap. and of course lightning bolt/channel/fireball before it was banned.
 
I played up till junior year, when i first got my car and could actually go out and do other things besides FNM magic, yeah i was pretty good i was 25th out of my whole state and won some big tournaments. We were dirt poor and stole almost all our cards at the time. Played around the Invansion cycle, were blue control was a must to play.

I feel dirty all over for admitting this. :\
 
SHAPOW I been had MTG cards. I quit before Scourge came out back in 2003 -
felt like the game mechanics were really starting to just go to shit. Started playing and then collecting shortly after Beta. Vintage Type 1 FTW
 
^^^^ old school, nice. My brother once stole a complete collection of dual lands, someone had in a uncanny case.

Yeah Quitting was easy, especially because Texas Hold'em blew up right around when i quit. Hold 'em is a mans game, was an easy transition.
 
I used to play back when I was like 10. I honestly don't remember a single thing about the game except for all of the "tap me" jokes and the card "prodigal sorcerer"

I don't know why, but I remember more than i care to. I could probably tell you what most cards i've played, mana cost, what they did and everything. When I play things, I almost always cross the line of hobby to obsessed. For example when i switched to Hold'em i've became obsessed, and since it was the peak of the game and money was easy. I won 100k in winnings the first year, which is was better than 100 boxes of Magic cards, even though they were fun to open. ;)
 
lol at my high school playing magic was something that the cool kids did.

I remember playing 2v2 and my playing partner being the lacrosse captain for our school, and my opponents being a pothead and a really hot chick.

With our history teacher talking to us about strategy while we were playing.

I only ever played once, way too many rules for me to handle.
It is a very cool game though. I see why so many people like it. Mad respect.
 
like others, played it back when I was in high school. Don't remember a thing about it besides all the tapping. The best card I had was some kind of blue dijoun or something. Speaking of old ass games from way back when... does anyone remember POGS?!?
