The story behind your nickname/handle...

When the Kimbo fights came out online a few years ago, i sent the links to all of my buddies. We played in a basketball league and we got jerseys made up with nicknames on the back. I missed the nickname meeting so when I showed up for the 1rst game they threw me a jersey with "Kimbo Slice" plastered on the back.

P.s. I look nothing like kimbo Slice.
 


I have a relative that plays for the San Jose Sharks.

I suppose if he gets traded I'll have to change my name...

Old cracking/reverse engineering nick. I originally wanted Rage, but you know how that goes on a larger forum. It was either 7 or 9 and 7 was taken so 9 it was.
 
Wow, I was half expected to get flamed for this thread (still fairly new, so I think I'm still nervous to post anything or click any links!) - I really appreciate you guys responding.

Yeah, I had a couple of names I used on BBS's and then IRC before I used this one, but unfortunately I spent most of my time in a channel that moved from Undernet to efnet; when it moved, I spent quite a bit of time fighting with some other guy for my nick. It wasn't a big deal, I would just put it in brackets or dashes when he was online and using it, but then I started getting messages meant for him...and it turns out that he was an op in a channel for homosexual teenage boys. So, yeah, I stopped using that nick.

In case you're wondering, that nick was 'Phazed'. Seemed like a great nick to me, but apparently he liked it, too.

Matter of fact, now that I think about it, maybe that experience is why I'm having such a mental block about picking a new nick...

Eric - my real name and it means "honorable ruler" or "ruler"
 
This wasn't never used to be my alias. I use another one for gaming etc and I had a very similar one to this for some other shit, when I signed up to DP I just randomly used this and then for WF. It's a pretty shitty alias but who gives a fuck.
 
Mine is pretty simple and bland, my initials + media. My company name registered back in 2000... Use it pretty much everywhere for continuity.

Hey superdave - you ever watch the SuperDave Osborne show when you were younger? That shit was oldschool, might have only aired in Canada though (was kinda like SCTV for those that know...).
 
I'm not sure, but I think I suffered a severe 5 second case of homosexuality when I signed up here and decided to use this name.

I think I even once pm'd a mod asking if could change it, never heard back.

^^^ holy shit that sounds just like me, but im 24, and ive been carded to go to every rated R movie except one, i knew the girl that gave me my ticket, she graduated with me. but other then that im carded for fucking EVERYTHING

Dude...seriously. You HAVE to bring back that nickname. It's the coolest thing ever! You should be punched in the junk for changing it to Fat Tom.

Anyway that's what I'm calling you now for sure.
