The Riddler in the New Batman Movie...

I thought Heath was by far the best comic villain modern movies produced. Almost like he knew it was his last.
Eddie Murphy? You just never know.

Have you SEEN any of Murphy's say last 5 movies? If they cast that clown as the Riddler it will pretty much ruin the series. He is a icon of the 90's, and that's where he should of stayed.

Eddie Murphy was biggest in the 1980s. If you're going to criticize someone at least know who talking about.

Just saying...

Trading Places in 1983
Beverly Hills Cop in 1984
SNL until 1984
Eddie Murphy Delirious in 1983
Eddie Murphy Raw in 1987
Coming to America in 1988
Harlem Nights in 1989

Whatever, my main point is still valid. Murphy's time has come and gone, decades ago. WANNA DANCE BATTLE MIAMI GUY??!

The article is talking about Joseph Gordon-Levitt, not Murphy. And Gordon-Levitt would be AWESOME.

Agree. The article says that Gordon-Levitt beat out Murphy who was interested in the role. Obviously, he hasn't signed on yet, but would be a pretty good fit. Pumped for them to start shooting in Chi.

Its like he went out right at his peak, on the screen he WAS the Joker. Oddly the simplest scene for me was the most memorable, like when he was walking away from the hospital before it blew up.

If it happened Nolan has a shit load of work cut out for him. But part of being a great director is putting together the right people. I just hope if they do choose him, its not for some affirmative action bullshit like how we need least one ethnic villian or hero. Kinda like when they remade cat woman with halley berry.

I don't think Halle Berry or Eddie Murphy were ever cast because of affirmitive action. Next you are going to tell me Will Smith only gets roles because he is black and its just a coincidence he is the biggest box office performer of his generation.

Plus, I'm sure you are aware Eartha Kitt played Catwoman in the 1960s.

I never said they were, I said I hope that an affirmative action mindset wouldn't be the reason for them being so, if chosen.

Nolan seems to be picky about his casting, he wanted aaron eckhart in momento as the lead role, and finally got him as two face. He got levitz in inception, and a bunch of actors that are in dark night seem to pop up in inception as well. I think he should go for the best person for the part, and not just use who he's comfortable with. Via Depp and Tim Burton.

Just my 2cents tho, levtizz could be great.
