The Prosperent Thread

Anyone else getting "An Error Occured, We're Looking Into What Happened" message on your dashboard? It doesn't appear to be allowing new ads to be created..at least on my end.

Had a problem briefly yesterday while moving the large dataset to another server. Shouldn't happen again, but like we said, this is an early beta. :)

Hi bros current stats thus far:

Impressions 10,143
Clicks 213
CTR 2.10%
eCPM (Effective cost-per-thousand impressions) $0.00
Unaudited (Pending) Commissions $0.00

I've since move the ads below the fold, under article which explains reduced CTR but I'm still testing.

You are getting a much better ctr then me, I have literally had one click on a few thousand impressions.

I am giving up on it.

Dave, sorry it didn't work for your niche. Our top performer for the month so far is already nearing 7,000.00 in commission. The top 5 are all over 5K so far. So, niche definitely plays a role. Seeing great results from several here though.

What are some of your top niches? PM me if you don't want to post. I'll gladly through up a few sites around your money makers and see if I can make it work. I'm always up for some testing.

43 clicks with 0 commissions is not a big deal because that's not a lot of clicks. He needs more data.

Maybe, but he's had 10k impressios. If that many impressions didn't make, at least, a couple of hundred dollars - I'd be concerned it was not a good match for my website.

That was Andrew's last post - 10k impressions and 200 clicks. ...not the quote somebody posted above.

90% of the websites my prosperent ads are on are consumer retail... skincare, cosmetics, fashion, shit like that...Not some kind of general lawyer information website or something (to give a random example) - so I was thinking that these ads would be just the ticket for me.

Ads are spread out across 12 sites ranging from 50 uniques p/d to 1,500+ uniques p/d.

I'd really like to know what those top performers are doing differently to earn those kinds of monies.

One of my retail fashion sites was doing $2-3k monthly with EPN before they pulled the trademark card on me and now the bulk majority of its earnings are coming from amazon and adsense - not much compared to its former glory. Was hoping Prosperent could do something especially for this site.

I'll post another update tomorrow.

His CTR is a little over 2% which isn't too bad for an adsense type ad. If you're saying you would expect to make a couple hundred dollars from adsense with 10k impressions I must be doing something very wrong. It's possible depending on niche and ad placement, but I wouldn't expect it. Not trying to defend Prosperent because I've never used it, but it's a different revenue model than Adsense. If you put banners for your own CPA offers on one of your sites and only sent 43 people to an LP with a 2% CTR without a commission would you be surprised? I just don't think it's enough data to determine anything because with one sale his eCPM might shoot way past what it would be with Adsense.

I think the issue is that on a lot of our thin sites, we run a higher CTR than we would on Adsense, and the Prosperent ads are not like Adsense in format, content or display.

They actually blend well with thin product sites.

The lack of reporting means I will be aborting this experiment soon. It's fine to generate raw numbers, but if I can't see what the terms which are triggering are, and follow that up by checking that ad display content myself, then this is flying blind.

@Prosperent, it's almost inconceivable you could launch this without proper tracking. I realize this is a BETA, but it seems to me you are capturing a lot of kw data, and sharing none of it with your users.

We haven't launched in any way. This is nothing more than an early beta peek to gather feedback for the actual launch of the product. If all goes well, that will be in the next couple weeks with full reporting and such. The data is being collected currently, we just have to interface everything and roll it out. Very soon :)

Larger volumes of traffic mainly. Our big guys have as high as $50 ecpm, but they are also driving several hundred clicks per day. You have to look at it over the course of a month or so in order to draw any conclusions if you have a low volume of traffic as you do. For small publishers, often times a single or even a couple conversions with prosperent ads over the course of a month are enough to exceed their normal adsense earnings (just speaking from what I have seen and heard from our other publishers).

Play with placement. These ads can be integrated and customized FAR more than adsense or any other ad network. Take advantage of that when placing ads.

I'll post, no problem. Top performer for the month.... Shoes.

Yea... my CTR has dropped like a dead dog with prosperant. Maybe not the right niche for it.

Might not be. It isn't going to be a fit for every type of site. If you pm me the niche or site url though I would be happy to look at it and offer some advice though.

Since we don't have reporting done yet, I will share some more top performing niches so you guys have an idea of what to possibly target:

Shoes
furniture, home and office accessories, electronics
Snowboards, winter sports related items
Horse related items (crazy, I know)
Kitchen and bath
Exercise & Health
Lighting
Hardware, home, paint
Outdoor gear (clothing and such)
Watches
Plumbing
Supplements
Beds
Luggage
glasses
