You must be out of touch or an extreme flaming liberal, because a Rasmussen, CNN and NPR poll stated that a majority of Americans think Fox news is the most unbiased news on TV.
Thats probably why they lap the other networks in ratings. Or it could be the others have ugly militant lesbians as commentators.
Just remember that John Stewart not only uses writers for his material but his show is comedy not real news.
FOX News leads the ratings for the same reason that American Idol and Dancing With the Stars lead that ratings - Because Americans are fucking idiots.

Some of the clips from Fox News are hard to distinguish from satire. The most recent one I saw would be Chuck Norris talking about stockpiling weapons and wanting Texas to break free from the USA or something like that.
As for that poll, look at some of the details :
37% say NPR is unbiased.
36% say Fox is unbiased.
32% say CNN is unbiased.
55% of conservatives say CNN is liberally biased. That, of course, means 45% of them think it is not.
49% of conservatives say Fox is unbiased. That leaves 51% of them who think it is.
Fox news has high ratings because it's the only mainstream conservative news outlet on cable.
The rest of the viewers are shared amongst the other non-conservative networks.
Not being able to see that pretty obvious fact within the very polls you're quoting is ridiculous.

PBS is the Shite.
But the Right think anything that's not Fox is biased. Remember when they tried to take away the funding for PBS and the public outcry was something like "The religious right wants to kill the Muppets!" ? And then they backpedaled and stuttered there way through refunding PBS. I thoroughly enjoyed that debacle. This was back in the day when everyone had their head up the Bush's administration's ass.
