funny- the sport really is inspired by cop chases, jail breaks, and so on. i forgot the name they gave it otherwise i'm sure you could read up the history etc.
ps; personally this kind of reminds me of the high days of street skating. during those days, 'urban' streetwear manufacturers made shoes with no wheels, but included grind plates and other skate accessories so that people could use the street and its obstacles to pull the same stunts even when they had no actual rollerskates on.
