Tablet vs Laptop On the go

On the go what would you prefer for getting stuff done.

Tablets are more portable while a laptop could do more stuff.

I think i would take a laptop ( macbook air ) over an iPad but hey some people woud rather take the ipad. but in my opinion anything a tablet can do a phone can do.

agreed. if you have any substantial typing to do the pad is lame. still haven't pulled the trigger on one. can't see myself using it much. maybe if i traveled by plane more.

my constant argument for why a tablet doesnt suit me for actual work: its impossible (or just sucks) to pound out 100 lines of code, or a 3 page paper on a tablet. unless you bring a keyboard, at which point you should just bring a laptop.

exactly what i was thinking. i'm too used to a keybaord to get anything else efficiently done without it.

Macbook Air if you are on the go, its as light as a tablet, feels better than a tablet, and faster than most window laptops

Tablet with fold-up bluetooth keyboard. Then remote desktop into a real system. Problem solved and you're not carrying around a big ass laptop.
