Switching Servers... and then WordPress

So I've made the switch from Dreamhost to HostGator but now my blogs won't work. :thefinger: I'm using WordPress. Where do I go to fix this? Fantastico can install a brand new blog, is that what I want to do? And then import my RSS feed + plugins somehow?? I'm looking for the *easiest* way to fix this on a mass-scale level... Thanks

Were you parsing .html as .php, if so check out MIME types.

Nope, but I switched my DNS nameservers --- Dreamhost still has my files so I can download them..

but when I upload the files onto HostGator, it says that it can't connect to the WordPress database..

Did you transfer the database? Did you make sure the username, database location, and the password are correct in the config file?

How do I go about transfering the database? Does that include all of my plugins + database name, login info, for the config file?

What a pain in the ass! I do not know anything about mySQL, and I was hoping Fantastico would make the switch to my new server alot easier... Has anybody else had a hard time transfering their WordPress blog onto their new server?
