Summer really affects my earning, how does it affect yours?

8 years of slow summers under my belt. I am sure there are execptions but I have seen it every summer I have been in the game. And the economy and gas prices are just compounding the issue.

The gas prices effect can go both ways ... a ton of people are ordering products online instead of jumping in their car.

Summer treats me well, but then again, it's Christmas time around my Summer, so people are in a spending mood.

That said, even in times of economic slow down, there are plenty of things that people still want, and are seasonal.
It's summer, so you've obviously got people traveling to summer destinations. Tourism Affiliate programs.
They'll be on the beach and require appropriately slutty things to wear. Beach wear / Tshirts / Surfboards / etc
Kids love booze and bonging it up. Booze by mail order and smoking kit.
Some kids are freaking out about their financial status for college next semester. Student Loans.
For the people that live in Texas BBQ stuff! (well, everyone likes BBQ, it's just that Texas has beef molecules in the p.p.m. analysis of the air)

Less thinking about how your current campaigns are tanking, and start thinking more about what'll do really well. Then just pause it for another 6-8 months come March - April.

imagesandwords: emos... you've just gave me an idea spark for some localized stuff. Thanks :)

I really hate summer. In the last two weeks, my traffic from search engine has dropped around 20% and my earning in the last one week has been heavily dropping. Usually I can earn as high as $1,200-$1,500 or more in profits every week but in the last one week my total earning was only $500

. I thought it has something to do with summer, I don't know. I just don't know because this is happening way too quickly (in the previous weeks everything was still OK)...what can you suggest me? Is summer always has big impact on some niches?

Summertime definitely affects my earnings. Down across the board. It will pick back up when it starts getting colder outside again (and when school is back in session) and more people are inside on their computers. Trust me. :)

what niche works well during summer? And actually, when usually everything will bounce back to normal? Early September?

I may be wrong but typically across all retail channels, both internet based and in person sales, there is a direct correlation between the summer months and a drop in sales.

A lot of retail channels see a downward slope mid June time, followed by and upward slope starting in mid August?

This would be different for specific niches based on summer sales in which it would be the opposite?

It sucks but it's kind of nice to have the time to get to those long put off projects and needed updates that I've been neglecting.

Go down to the beach and sell some ice cream. 500 bucks / day is freakin easy when it's this hot... and if you got a hot sister take her along. That usually helps.
