Stupid Clients don't pay, then what?

I had clients who did shit like that to me. Unless you know the client well you gotta demand at least 50% upfront or else some of them will pay you or not, depending on whether they feel like it. Even if it's just a small amount of money, I remember forever those who decided not to pay me, and neither should you. It's your fault for letting things get so out of hand that he owes you $650.

Brilliant idea posting every fucking article he bought from you at the article sites. Go do it!

I'll buy the articles off you at some price, post them to my sites which I'm guessing have more authority than his. Thus, his info will get deindexed.

Edit: forget that. He owes you $650 for 15 days work? Were you pumping out 10 articles a day or getting paid $40 an article?

Obviously it's a learning experience, but that doesn't help you now.

At this point, put him on a payment plan...He clearly can't pay the full amount right now. He probably "wants" to, but just doesn't have the dough.

I would do this:

Tell him that you can't write another article without some kind of payment. Demand at least $325 now and the other half in a week. In exchange you could offer to write a minimum amount of articles for the next week. You could threaten him with selling or posting your previous work, but that may just start a chargeback war.

You have to get him to make you a higher priority and give him some positive incentive to get you paid.

Hey, actually each article cost $5 and I used to write around 6 articles a day, sometimes 15 or sometimes even around 20 a day. Totally they are 129 articles of 500 words. Hit me up I'm willing to sell them to you. PS: they are all news related articles (politics, Australian open, prince Williams wedding, space exploration, Egypt crisis etc...)

Check your states regulations, but you can probably take him to small claims court by yourself since the amount is so low. Fill out the forms, show up for your court date, get a judgment and turn it over to a collection agency. You may never get your $650 back, but he'll think twice about screwing anyone else over in the future. This shouldn't cost you hardly anything (except maybe filing fees?) and a couple hours of your time.

well yeah, i guess i can live with that, but right now, i have completely lost faith in itraders

The itrader system is fine. It does what it is designed to do. The broken item is your ability or willingness to discern. Fix that, and you'll avoid bad clients.

Here's an example:

itraders from guerilla, dchuk, nordie, and Grindstone = good.

itraders from sock puppets, review whores, or banned members = bad.

That psama guy had a negative itrader. I used to laugh at his threads and think, "nobody's gonna work with this guy."

Guess I was wrong. Be more discerning.

One last thing: low rates, shitty clients. That's the way it works. Doesn't matter if you're a writer, logo designer, or hooker. Low rates, shitty clients.
