Can someone try to convince me that Long Squeeze Pages and long Sales pages actually work for PPC?

Im considering building a few of those long Squeeze pages and Sales Pages for a few of the software affiliate products Im marketing and split testing them with PPC.

Any examples? Any suggestions? Are there any case studies on this that show conversion rates?

Does anyone know someone that is GREAT at writing content for such pages? I dont want to recreate the wheel here so I might just hire someone to write the content.

What is your favorite or best performing sales page youve seen?

Thanks

Of course long page salesletters work, but you might want to do some lead gen from PPC before you send them to the sales page. Have them opt-in... and sell them over the course of a week or so. Ive never had ANY success linking to a sales page w/ PPC.

Don't make a page long for the sake of length. Present your pitch in a logical order and cover all the bases (i.e. go over all the points need to close the sale).

And yes, they work just fine with PPC. I have a letter with 6% CR for my most targeted keywords (without a pre-sell lander).

If you have 10K+ to invest go with this woman: http://www.webcopywritinguniversity.com

Thanks Farrett And megatabbers for the feedback. My plan is to use a squeeze page first and offer a free ebook to get the sign up on the squeeze page, then send them to the sales page after the sign up. Then of course hit them with my autoresponder to drive toward the sale.

Does anyone had any info/feedback/suggestions/examples on the types of squeeze page layouts or designs that seem to work? Video squeeze pages for example.

That webcopywritinguniversity looks interesting. I dont want to train to be a copywriter though. I just want to find one thats good and pay them to do their job. I might just buy the course for the $297 and return it after I give it a look through. As always, if it blows me away and I feel the value, I will keep it.

Anyone else have anything to share about copywriting for sales pages?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Don't buy the course - hire the copywriter (Maria Veloso). That is her website/product.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I found myself what looks to be a great copywriter. His personal sales page is top notch and the samples he provided are really good as well. The best thing was I found him on odesk and his rate is very reasonable. Not to mention he said he would have 2 new sales pages/squeeze pages made for me specific to my affiliate product within 3 days. He is also going to layout the sales pages for me and provide the full design and graphics.

I chatted with him last night on skype for over an hour and he is truly knowledgeable about every aspect of the copywriting trade and proud of it. Im excited to see what he can deliver.

I'll let you know how it works out.

So, who is this guy if you don't mind sharing?

I should be getting a first draft of my first sales page from this guy in about 24 hours so let me hold off on posting his info until I find out if he is the real deal......

I'll let you know either way.
