Its worse then crack, I'm at tim hortons at least 3 times a day for an xl double double.
Triple espresso. No sugar. No milk. No effin flavors.
Brand really is not that important- but I love the Palermo espresso available in the Italian Market down on 9th street. Finally- Something Killadelphia does right!.

Give me something better to split test it with. All the "gourmet" coffees I have ever tried taste like horse shit.
Dunkin Donuts has great coffee. So does IHOP (incredibly).
Starbucks always sucks when I buy it by the cup at Starbucks, but it's good at home. I don't what they do to it in the stores, but it brews up mighty tasty in my coffee pot. I don't get it.

Have you ever made it with a french press? That would make a real difference in the taste.

Not being an elitist, just personal preference. I travel often and one thing I noticed is the East Coasters like their Dunkin Donuts coffee and Canadians LOVE Tim Hortons. I find most people who like bold coffee (Starbuck's, Peet's) are from the West Coast or at least spent a lot of time there

i use the french press when i'm making the sumatra..
its great, plus we've got boiling hot water on tap.... perfect when you want to whip up a quick cup (or pot).
i rarely even use the coffeemaker anymore!

Considering that stuff's about $400/100g, and doesn't taste noticeably different from a stronger Arabica blend, I can't see it being the choice of any one that actually cares about their coffee...
It's like Crystal champagne. Expensive, but real wine drinkers don't go there.
