Funny you mention this as was just on Flippa today and saw a site for sale in my niche https://flippa.com/2676378-top-uk-make-money-online-site-2k-profit-per-month

Turns out homeboy bought this site for $75K (on flippa) five months ago and then got slapped hard by Panda in Oct. Hes now trying to sell it for $35K with a min bid of $20 even though hes only getting around 200 visitors a day from G.

Makes me wonder who it is that can afford to pay $75K for a site who has no seo knowledge (he admits this in post).

I'd estimate that 90% of the buyers on flippa have no seo knowledge whatsoever. even the ones who can afford the 5-6 figure sites.
 
Do you guys think the increased the risks of search traffic loss should decrease the valuation multiples?
 
Yup, his site tanked around June 2011. The visitors from June was around 1000+ per day and now the website only got less than 30 visitors per day.

75K is a lot of money.

Watch he is going to sell it, and then out of nowhere the site will recover some of it's traffic, not all but a good deal I bet.
 
looks like everything in this thread ended in a train wreck.
