The only thing I find disappointing here is your reference to "beta".

It has been my experience over the last eight years working in this "manly" industry that the true alpha male rarely, if ever, feels the need to convince other men of his superior status by waggling his epeen -especially on a gay, scholarly forum such as this one.

I am always disappointed by betas. Especially by ones without the understanding and appreciation of the finer distinction of sarcasm found so prevelantly in the higher beings of your particular species.

I, being a lowly woman, cannot explain the distinctions of sarcasm and irony to you, of course. But perhaps if you ask some of these learned gentlemen nicely they might find you some internet tutorials to watch so that you can grow in that area of understanding.

Even after taking MBTI tests, I usually come out 50/50 on the E/I scale (although I do have a slight preference towards extroversion).



I score ENTP as well. I agree, though - I envy the INTJ work ethic and their ability to strategize long-term. I think an ENTP/INTJ business partnership would be lethal, though.
ENTPs are wicked at brainstorming, spotting patterns, copywriting, etc... And INTJs would be great at dissecting the barrage of ENTP ideas and theories and executing the actionable/workable ones (while condescendingly shitting on the ones that aren't practical).

INTJs are also great at structuring things... something I feel ENTPs struggle with (I know I do).

Duuuude. Im struggling with this hard. It's the inferior function of introverted sensing. There's so much energy invested in extroverted perceiving that you kinda lose self awareness and the ability to like consistently maintain yourself and your interests in a straight line. Any personality type's inferior function can be developed to a certain degree but will always be kind of gimpy like a shorter leg just cause of the nature of that personality type. I def wouldn't mind having a INTJ work ethic and structure either

I agree with this too. Inferior Introverted Sensing is a BITCH, haha.

The best thing I've done so far is hire an ESTJ to take care of all the repetitive day to day tasks that need to get taken care of, which is definitely not my strong suit. It frees me up to think of/experiment with new projects. I probably would have burnt out a long time ago without him.

I also have 2 INTJ developers that have been awesome at understanding what I want and getting it done.

I think the next step for me is hiring an ISFJ/ESFJ secretary full time that can handle most of the minor annoyances that pop up every day.

It's funny, I was talking to a much older ENTP once and I was venting about how hopeless I felt about maintaining a consistent worth ethic. I even bitched about how my approach to executing tasks was absurdly nonlinear.

His response was,
"I think ENTPs need minions. Lots of minions."

Gambit's post demonstrates this point. lol

The hardest part about it, IMO, is reaching the point where you have enough capital to outsource projects and delegate responsibilities. THAT is the ENTP struggle... at least for me it is. Kind of seems like a Catch 22.
