So what GUNS do you own? I'll start with a couple of mine.

And lets say they decide the car is not enough, they want to break into the gun cabinet?

See were im coming from? Not trying to put down guns, like I say hitting targets/competitions can be fun I just don't like the idea of having them in your home. No need for them in your personal home.

Yea still happens though. Some parents may lock them up, some may not. Some parents don't have the personal responsibility "factor" others do. So because you can own these, innocent killings will continue to happen. Easy stuff.

I don't have kids either. Still I keep it at a shooting range, I don't see much point in wasting alot of energy and even buying things that kill people, regardless of who's behind the barrel, its an accident waiting to happen.

Well, if any kids break into my house, get into my closet, steal my guns, buy ammunition, figure out how to work them, and go shoot someone.....I'll be sure to come back to this thread and say you were right.

And, for those who do have kids, it's up to you to be responsible and make sure they are locked up or out of reach. My dad had a safe full of shotguns for bird hunting and a pistol he kept at the house. I can't ever remember trying to get my hands on them and start shooting people.

Oh well, enough with this discussion. Who wants to talk about politics, sex, or religion?

How many teenagers have killed by stealing there parents guns?

Weapons shouldn't be hidden from children because it makes them eager to "play" with it when its found. They should be taught that a firearm is NOT a toy and that they are NOT to touch the weapon. My parents had guns and my sibling and I were taught to never touch them, and we didn't.

Usually the stories you hear of are of children/teenagers finding their parents firearms and playing with it because they were not instructed not to do so and the parents hid them.

Temptation to shoot some cunt and land yourself in jail. I could prolly list alot of reasons here but you wont really see through them, your eyes are too glazed on guns.

Yeah, we're all just brainless morons who shoot someone every time we get the urge. Is your self-control that bad?

Then don't have them, but stop bashing others who do. God, what a fascist..

I disagree. Our second amendment permits Americans to own guns and so FAR this is one thing that hasn't been revoked. Guns should be owned by responsible individuals; they are for entertainment, hunting, and lastly self defense.

Basically this dude's assertion is that Americans are so stupid they'll shoot something the first time they get the urge. Oh, and also their kids are retards who will shoot one another the minute they find a gun. As if they don't know what they do.

The only gun I own:

Heh, you beat me to it.

Oh yea, just an addition. I appreciate the US is larger than the UK but...

UK:Murders with firearms 14
US:Murders with firearms 9,369

As for someone breaking in, with guns being legal in the US there's a good chance more they would be carrying too. So eliminating the source to start with helps all the problems as the stats show. Giving you the right to use a weapon just start a battle so-to-speak.

Go to the gym and learn how to break someones legs with a roundhouse kick.

I've always wanted to buy a sniper rifle and then set up some targets in the Rockies and play "sniper" for a few days.

This is for you Subigo. Let me know when you want to borrow mine.

I'd like to get an ar15 (or any semi-auto), but I'm thinking I would rather have something a little bigger. .223 is just a little too small for me.

My pride and joy is my 1954 Schmidt Rubin K31. It can shoot 3 inch groups or better at 300 yards with open sights. The best my crappy self has been able to do with open sight is 2 inch groups at 100 yards.

(that's not my video)

My other gun is a Mosin m44. Nothing special but still fun to shoot.

For handguns I want to get a glock 21 SF .45 or a Steyr m40 a1
