RIP Steve!

(very ironic getting a stingray barb to the heart as opposed to a croc jaw on the head)

Yeah, I told my mom about it and she was really upset. I guess she saw him and his family on Oprah or something.

You know the footage will be running around ebaums and those places in now time.

I suppose it makes sense that it wasn't a croc that took him down because he knows more about them than anyone else in the world, he probably didn't know too much about stingrays in comparison. RIP Steve, you've entertained me thoroughly many a times.

does anyone know if there has EVER been an incident of someone dying by a stingray barb? i'd think the odds are close to a billion to one.

CRIKEY! (sorry... someone had to do it though)

yeah.. all the Aussies here were sad today.

I had a bet with my dad that this guy would die from a really minor injury.. like a papercut.

The number of recorded human stingray deaths is under 20.

I was obsessed with him in the late 90s before he really hit it big. I actually wrote him a letter and he sent back a postcard. He was the man... 100% passion.

I do a pretty damn good imitation of him... but I can't do it now because that's just tasteless. Looks like my kermit the frog is my only decent imitation left!

On the news here in Aus they said there were 3 previous records of people dying from a stingray barb. One 80 years ago and the other 2 around 10 years.

It was just a freak accident :(
