Slow month?



I will answer the question for you from a logical standpoint.

Families just came back from their summer vacations.
Families and college students just had to prepare for back to school. (new clothes, moving, books..etc.)
Everyone is being effected by the economy in some way.

Next everyone will start trying to save for Christmas so there will prob not be a real lift until late Oct, early Nov.

There is something you can point to as why you might not be making money. You can Google consumer spending trends and get all kind of data. You should have had a plan for all of this to begin with. Supplement your hard sale offers with a hand full of lead gen.
 
I have a site in the "Christmas niche"...it's starting to rock. I like Santa.

On a less serious note..a week ago today my conversions went to absolute crap. Traffic was still the same though. Last Monday was Labor Day here in the U.S. Lot's of people were back to school, back to work after the long weekend last Tuesday and probably doing actual work instead of fucking around on the internet all day. By the end of the week my earnings were back to normal and this weekend I had 2 of my biggest days.

Point being..things are going to fluctuate, but if you're doing it right in the first place, they will recover at some point.

These are big reasons, especially if you're going for the college age crowd though. Starting up in new apartments, utility deposits, university fees, etc.

Although rev fluctuates month by month, it isnt to the extreme of "I was making $10k a day now i'm only making $100". Its more likely your specific niche is dieing or your offers are scrubbing. Considering you mentioned CJ, scrubbing is a big possibility since CJ's advertisers platform allows for unaudited scrubbing at the merchants desire.
 
Take care of them spiders first + get the software that takes care of everything else.
