Skype Selling for 8.5 bill...

I think you should brush up on your math skills

6.5b/663m users = ~ $10/user

I should have been a bit more clear, I was referring to paying customers of which they only have about 8 million. I guess that doesn't really matter though, Facebook doesn't have any paying customers yet it's still worth the 50 billion or whatever.

They already have had VOIP on MSN for years now. They're buying the brand, not the system.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't have the system to call a physical land line from MSN.

one more company being brought by the "ruining experts"... Bon Voyage Skype... one more sector, which Google can now capture... :(

WTF are you talking about? Microsoft is just about the oposite of "ruining experts" windows is still by far the dominant operating system for both business and personal. They entered the video game space and now have the dominant game console. They own part of facebook and windows phone is gaining momentum steadily. And bing continues growing every month while google remains stagnant.

Yeah but they ruin everything...

I don't even understand why MS wants to spend those bills... for Skype when you can just download it for free.

But anyway, soon we all be under an network that is owned by 2 or 3 Corporations, just like in every other industry. So much software, yet so few owners. We will be all controlled!!
