No difference at all. However, nobody is really effected at all in America when that happens because it happens so often. We are basically desensitized to it. When a school shooting happens, it hits closer to home. The media has to report on it like it's the end of the world because it's a tool of grievance and mourning for everyone. If the media treated it like it was just another suicide bombing, people would be like wtf.
