When turbo and I were talking about how shitty this thread is, we weren't talking about it dissing Shoemoney or anything like that. We're talking about the nasty, creepy shit that a drunk asshole posted last night.
But Jon's big fight is all about how he wants WF recognized with these other bloggers and supposed gurus. WF isn't an adult industry board.
I'm not a prude but creepy guys are still creepy guys. There is a time and a place for everything, and forcing it onto people when they are in an IM forum talking about the IM industry isn't the place.
Yes, but they weren't being used to piggyback off of an industry icon. Like it or not, shoemoney is recognized and it's obvious that ranking for his name would get traffic here.
My point was, that if you're going to steal someone's marketing thunder and try to appeal to their target market...this isn't the right way to do it.

are those retards and gays targeted personally? And if they are , does the gay or retard have a problem with it? And if they do, is this saying that WF is open season on anyone and everyone? Can we act any way we want to account reps, advertisers, new people, trash threads, etc?

I am fully aware this isn't an adult industry board, but the fact is we are in the IM industry... adult is just my point of reference, since that's where I do most of my biz and where I'm the most comfortable... anyway, it takes a thick skin to survive as a marketer... and while I agree that the creepy psycho sex stuff was uncalled for... sometimes you have to deal with drunken rants like that... that's just life...
the real world isn't all flowers and sunshine ya know...
I really don't think one isolated drunken rant will diminish the industry or reflect poorly on WF... especially since anyone who bothers to read the rest of this thread will see he got banned for those comments...

i don't know about what those groups actually have to say about being a general synonym for all kinds of human weaknesses or failures but i would assume that they don't embrace it too much to be only named in that context.
however, it does not really matter so much what "they" say, as in the end there is no anonymous mass of gays or retards but just individuals. as much as you don't want to be generalized as being "female", other just don't want to be because of their sexual preference or physical problems.

yep. because if there is one exception to the rule, why shouldn't there be open season? why would we allow immorality to happen towards certains groups of people but not to others?
let's be at least honest here: because most people would fear to jump in when there is fun being made of a minority because suddenly you would end up in the center of attention yourself and being made fun of.
