It was tasty. I gave Bofu a bottle of Hennessy VSOP at ASE and brought a bunch of assorted Cuban cigars too. I like them both.

Costco sells this for $159 in SF.

Kinda overpriced I think though, if you are spending more than $100 for a bottle of scotch there are plenty of 18+ year old single malts to choose from.

<lol> costco </lol> they won't even allow Wal-Marts in Chicago = WIN!

but that pic was from NYC... so what can you expect? but here in Chicago I pay $200 for it. #WorthItToMe

If you're spending any time with a good scotch - I'm talking perhaps a wheelchair scotch, I might suggest some Blue Diamond Almonds to help keep you, well, less hungry and more thirsty.

can you elaborate?

were they dipping them in grand marnier as they took them off the crepe-making stove?

They had a bowl with the mix for the crepes. They would use a ladle to pour it over the hot plate, then use one of their tools to smooth it out in to a circle, then pour grand marnier right out of the bottle right over it and then let it cook.

Ive heard dabbing a little bit of cigarette ash in your whiskey can do some good. Anyone to back me up here?

finally got my first taste of blue the other day (friend came home from trip to india.. duty free store FTW!) stuff is pure magic..

personally more a single malt drinker glen 12 is my fav.. 18 is even better...

if anybody is looking for a new less expensive single malt highly recommend McCellands lowland one of the first singles in awhile ive enjoyed as much as Glen..

When i do drink too much though, the hangovers from scotch are fucking brutal.
Just curious, are you too dehydrated?

I wonder if drinking plenty of water the day of before hand (some occasional sips of water during drinking time probably wouldn't hurt) and before going to bed a big glass of water might help?

Just wanted to see what people think about these two?

I know some die hard Scotch drinkers who won't go near Cognac, and vice versa. I personally enjoy both, though I think I'm in the minority.

So, who out there enjoys The Glenlivet? Remy Martin?

I personally love having a nice Cohiba with my Remy. XO on special occasions, but usually a VSOP.

Can't get enough of the Remy Martin!

I really like both, but it took me a little while to enjoy cognac.

Hennessy XO is really good, and as for scotch, I like the smokier versions. Macallan 18+ is excellent, but I like any of the Glen's as well.

Never tried the Blue label before. I actually really like the Black so I'm sure Blue will blow my mind. Also, the black bug bled blue blood.
