Scariest Shit Yoself Movies Ever

Psycho by Hitchcock is a classic. The ending always scares the shit out of me.

The Ring is good too.

Paranormal Activities is one I like as well.

Psycho by Hitchcock is a classic.

My favorite of his is Vertigo. Saw it some 8 years ago, haven't re-watched since, because I saw The Birds again recently, and the "CGI" just bothered me too much, so I'll better not ruin the 1st impression. I occasionally read his stories though.

Watched [REC] tonight. Almost unbearable with the dubbed voices. I didn't think it was that great.

i think ive watched all horrors that are o nthe planet - my girl is getting really scare on em so i love to make her watch. i wathed literally 100s of horrors from us/eu/asia.

anyways, the only horror that I FIND a bit scary for me was the descent.
and i do not get scared on movies at all ;)

Cant believe no-one has mentioned it yet, but "The Exorcist" is by far the scariest movie I have ever seen. I don't even like the fucking thing on my TV. Something about that film.

I remember when I was trying to fall asleep at night after watching that movie one day. Every time I closed my eyes, I would see this face

Was seriously freaky as fuck.

Thanks errbody, we are going with "The Descent"because it got a lot of mentions and then I am initiating D into Evil Dead-dom... He's never seen them and this thread made me remember how funny they are. :D

Lots of good recommendations here and I won't repeat them. I really like:

Not Particularly Terrifying, But Still Good:
The Devil's Backbone
Let the Right One In (original)
Three Extremes - Dumplings

--More Funny than Scary--
Dead Alive
Shaun of the Dead

Add to the list of movies you DON'T want to see:
The Human Centipede 1st and 2nd
