Run to the hills! Anonymous will fuck yo shit up!

Actually, those fuckers are pretty annoying... and bad for business.

One of such groups (actually two smaller chans) decided to raid my forum a while back.
My forum's audience consists mostly of women, so the fags decided to raid it on the Mother's Day.

Fortunately, someone whiteknighted the raid a few weeks prior and sent me the link to the place where it was being organized, so I was able to see what they were planning.

With all the added security features, post/pm filters, ip blocks, ddos detectors that I had to set up in a hurry, my forum turned from a pretty much auto-pilot project into a full time occupation.

And tubgirl, lemonparty, 2girl1cup, goatse, etc. was nothing compared to what those fucks prepared. Some really sick shit.

So I don't know about death threats, but they can really cause some loss of productivity. I wasted a lot of my time dealing with it. I still have a lot of filters and other signaling systems that I need to monitor constantly because they were apparently pissed that their raid got fucked and vowed to try it again eventually.

I didn't even know about their existence. One of them just stumbled across my forum.

This aired a couple of years ago, rtard

Fine, so it did. How exactly does that negate my point? The net neutrality discussion isn't new. Both sides have been lobbying heavily for more than just "a couple of years".

Oh and you may keep your hillbilly insults to yourself.

Those folks have been scared of the net since 2000. Also not exactly sure what Net Neutrality and Hacking/Death Threats/etc have to do with each other, especially since the latter is already a crime.

People have been scared of the interwebs since its existence because they don't understand it. They don't know what it is, and the word "cyber" in itself is perfect for making them think it's something really outlandish and strange.

Net neutrality - what I meant was: if you know little about the internet and see stuff like this on tv, you're gonna be more likely to support "regulation" and "supervision" (censorship) of the internet due to its "dangerous nature".

It always helps to have a mysterious, anonymous figurehead you can pin your fears to as portrayed by Fox in the video. It makes it easy to say "yes, protect us from the internet".

You all laugh at this, but this is serious. And I'm not talking about the "content" of that piece. What a surprise that this is being aired in the middle of a political net neutrality discussion. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.

While you laugh, many many other Fox viewers will be scared to death about that big black hole that is the internet and houses domestic terrorists who put bombs in your pickup truck.

And you laugh.

QFT, this is what this was about, censoring and controling the internet and getting the sheeple to say "yes, please protect us!"

Nothing more... fuckin wake up.
