I was looking up the US's gold reserves, which we have the largest of by A LOT, and at the current price of gold our 8,965.6 tonnes of gold is only equal to about 161 billion dollars. We are in 1 trillion+ of debt. That really puts into perspective how fucked the US is, for me atleast.
Good thing Obama is doing the bombing and not a republican, otherwise there would be some real fucking outrage.

yep... belgrade, serbia is modern too, and look what clinton did to them. walked around the city and saw the bombed out buildings. pretty strange when you're walking around an awesome city and then see the buildings your country blew the shit out of.

If thats right then I'm not sure what to think. Its obviously wrong morally, but if some big uprising against the dollar happened the dollar would fall and our economy and way of life would collapse.
Would you let that happen? or would you use your power to stop it?

People dont realize how much of an advanced economy Libya had before the riots. They are almost up to par with some countries in Europe. Socialist yes, but financing it with their oil revenues. They had it good and this whole rag-tag rebel movement seems really questionable. I hope we get a settlement to it.

Meh, they were bombing Belgrade too. Everything for money and power.And they are bombing Tripoli now... That is really fucked up. Everything was provided by gadafi and it actually worked.
For those not familiar with this city, its not some desert like the US propaganda is spreading. Imagine being in LA or Miami and being hit by bombs..
