Andrew, sorry but you are wrong, this is about many articles over a period of years not 1 article. also there is evidence that he said he wrote them. so witch is it, did he write the newsletter or pay someone who he now can't find who wrote the newsletter for years with all kinds of crazyness in them. REally? this is your hero?

John McCain gave a commencement address at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University (who died last year.) Jerry Falwell, who blamed homosexuals for September 11th. Other candidates too have also tried hard to pander to Christian extremists. If this is a guilt by association of your supporters, let us carefully examine all of Romney, Giuliani, McCaine, Huckabee, and Thompson's supporters.

Ok, did you read them all? I spent about 20 minutes reading the one I could find in its entirety. The other quotes I saw were statements about militias and some Mussad conspiracy; perhaps crazy but not racist. Post some links and I will read them.

I am in Canada and it is fuckin great. Yes, the wait times are long, there's no denying that. BUT if you can afford it fly the fuck out and go get whatever you need done somewhere else. If you can't afford to then waiting a few months is better than not getting treatment at all.

As for smoking we pay over 50% tax on cigarettes so we take it up the ass every time we get a pack. Yes it's our stupidity right but with all the smokers out there the government makes a shitload of money that goes towards healthcare on cigarettes alone. Same goes for alcohol which is taxed over 50% as well. And let's not mention all the other taxes we contribute as well.

I see you picked something easy though, smokers that get lung cancer. "oh you're stupid for smokign I'm not paying for your shit". Let's look at something else.

Don't even try to argue those points, your logic is "not my health problem, I'm not contributing". You are an asshole, end of story. Health care isn't just used by "smokers with lung cancer", genius.

As for "they will take you in anyways if you make only 20k" a year, that's great. But that person may be stuck with 50k or more in debt that they'll be paying off for 20 years.

Don't worry though, I do understand your overall logic. It's based on greed and heartlessness.

You made it personal by singling out smokers as if we're the only ones that use health care and made it seem like we don't pay our share. We're easy pickins too.

Either way I won't argue this any further either. Our points of view are obviously different. I'm fine with my tax dollars helping other people and vice versa. (not to say they are always spent wisely but that's a whole different topic and every country has problems with money being spent "wisely")

No, I do not give two fucks about phone polls and digg stories (although I'll digg the occasional story or two...), but do you know who Frank Luntz is? This assclown is notorious for fixing his "random focus groups" (for example, the same guy showed up in 2 groups in two different states) He wrote the book on manipulation.

I don't get how you can say Fox is not biased? Are you out of your fucking mind? Did you read about the fiasco where they did not invite him to their forum a few days ago? Paul is the only true republican on that stage.

I will agree that a lot the internet supporters need to get off their ass and do something. Phone polls and digg stories don't mean shit.

US Ranks Last In Stopping Preventable Deaths

It doesn't look like the Canadians suffers as much as some would want us to believe. They sure do a good job of distributing medications at more affordable meds too.

Honestly I live in a big metro area in the US with tons of doctors around, but unless it is an emergency, there are many specialists here that have months long waiting lists here too.

Lots of us have had to adapt to changing conditions, and I think that good doctors can find a way to survive and profit, just like we do. Many doctors (49%) in the US support the idea of a national health care system.

I think the best proposal would give a choice to individuals or companies. They can either keep what they have or buy private insurance, or they can contribute to the national plan. Many business owners support a plan like this because they would rather just kick in extra taxes than deal with the nightmare of group health. This is particularly true of small businesses, but even larger employers are frustrated with rising costs.
