ringtones adwords question

I wish those stupids vouchers didn't exist, they just clog up the system with morons running 50 accounts until they burn through their $50 voucher.

If you need money given to you to run ppc, dont' do it in the first place.

Ringtones are a bit to competitive for a small budget to crack. You've got to lose a lot before you'll find some converters.

Big Will,

This guy's still at it and pounding it ... just looked on google for free ringtones:

Look at the ad ... "Paying for ringtones? Don't!" that's so misleading and azoogle (which is under investigation for shady ringtone practices) is letting this slide? Not to mention the voucher fraud...

Want to watch how fast I can have his account termed? :rasta:

Or should I be nice..

Since your ringtones campaign seems to be in its infancy, there's no way you can be on page 1 with an $0.80 bid. It's just not realistic. The guys on those kinds of head terms (like Ringaza) have been around for a long time so I'm sure their domain equity + QS is quite good, not to mention their CPAs must be much higher so they can afford to shell out a higher CPC.

Basically, I think it's too aggressive for you to even try to be on page 1. This will require you to absorb huge losses upfront in an effort to improve your CTR statistics (with the eventuality of being able to lower your bids), but IMHO is not worth the risk given the competition you're up against. My suggestion would be to steer clear of page 1 and to find the point of profitability even though you may be on page 3 or 4. Another suggestion would be for you to focus on tail terms so your overall CPCs will be less. Just my $0.02, but overall I think you're being too aggressive.

He must have 20+ accounts running at any given time. Clearly Google's method of detecting duplicate accounts needs improving. :)

I wonder if this is not something that is defrauding the balls outta google? I couldn't imagine someone being able to do this and actually foot the bill...

Wonder will azoogle ban him? If he used a proxy, he can get away with google. So only Azoogle can stop him by not paying him.

azoogle's still letting this go - ads still say "paying for ringtones? don't!" - wonder if flycell is aware of this

my am said azoogle is aware, the guy has been killing it over the weekend, and they are looking into it.

Im curious to see how many leads he made. He could have been more creative and not been a dumbass and have the same ad copy for every single fuckin ad. I'm going to have to say he used gift cards.

invisible,

Azoogle is aware and still they haven't done anything!?!?!? That's nuts (dude's still going today)

Heres my thoughts...
Hes using prepaids...
Something with an online user interface to change address.
This way G isnt catching the repetitive card number because the address is changing.

$50 Prepaid activates 10 accounts ($5 activation gets you a $50 daily spend)

$50 turns into $500 worth of ad spend

10 cards @ $50 ea = $500 investment

$500 investment = $5000 ad spend

$5000 ad spend for ringtones on 1st page = ??? clicks ???

Someone fill in the clicks and I'll mathmagician a formula to show you how much hes probably making...

yea, my am said they are looking into it. i'm surprised too, i'm sure the big ringtones boys who are usually on page 1 are fuming (not to mention losing money).

why does it take them so long to figure it out:

Are Your Paying for Ringtones?
Don't! No Credit Card Needed

The rest of us can't have that ad (still live) - but this guy can!??!?!
