This is to inform you that Yahoo! Search Marketing has received notice that material available through your website at xxx contains false and/or misleading content regarding Google. A copy of the original notification may be sent to you upon request.

Pursuant to our internal policy, Yahoo! Search Marketing has blocked access to the material identified in the notification.

If you wish to dispute the notification of false and/or misleading content, you may file a counter-notification as set forth in this letter. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Yahoo! To be valid, a counter-notification must be a written communication provided to Yahoo! Search Marketing that includes the following:

    1. Your name, business address and telephone number.
    2. A physical or electronic signature.
    3. Either: (a) a statement that the material was removed or disabled; or (b) a detailed repudiation of each of the claims made in the notice.

This written communication should be sent to the following:

Thank you.

I don't understand what Yahoo means by "blocking access to the material"... I can still access my website... any clue?

Just got the same exact email. I filed a "counter-notification" per their request and I'm waiting to see the outcome. I also requested a copy of what Google sent them and they sent me a massive, I mean massive list of sites they are apparently on their shit list. A lot of guys sites from here I am sure.

Now you are not even safe on yahoo or msn from the wrath of Google...

apparently if you do not file a "counter-notification", kiss your site/account goodbye on Yahoo. It seems we may be safe if we do, I found this line in the document they sent:

Once we receive your completed notification, we may forward it to the party identified in your complaint. That party may either: (a) dispute the notification by filing a counter-notification; or (b) remove or disable the content identified by your complaint.
If Yahoo! Search Marketing receives a counter-notification, the listings will be retained and no further action will be taken with respect to your notification. Yahoo! Search Marketing will forward a copy of the counter-notification to you. On the other hand, if Yahoo! Search Marketing does not receive a response from the party identified in your complaint, the listings will be removed from Yahoo! Search Marketing.

Interesting... there's no such mention in the email they sent me... is this the first you've been warned?

Yeah I got it at the same time you did. You have to request the document from them that Google sent in and they will send it back to you.

Everyone is cracking down now. It will hurt some affiliates but will really end up forcing everyone into legit niches even though other companies will continue to rebill customers and post videos of the celebrities endorsing a certain method. Adapt or die.

Was it Google bizopp ads on your YSM account ? Smart choice, but it's still can be investigated by Google, and Yahoo by giving you 2 options want you 1) surrender 2) want to cover their ass, cause it looks like obvious trademark infrigument or like you guys call it and you think that you may hide under competitors while they will be happy about it, apparently no.

Was this for search only or on YSM Content? Aw damn I miss the good old times where Yahoo Display allowed rebills.

Anyone else hear back from Yahoo after counter-filing? Its been 24 hours havent heard anything and the account is still active so far..

Listen, dont email back anything. Just call Yahoo Search Marketing at 1 866 747-7327. I think their hours are from like 8-5 p.m. pacific time. They will take care of you

You would think. That was the first thing I tried and I even have a dedicated rep. They know nothing about it and said I have to deal with the "trademark department" via email only. I have no recourse but that. I was told they could not even get them on the phone as they are not a "public facing" department.

My yahoo account has been slapped by google. Go figure. I haven't' even run a biz op on the domain in question in months.

Did you have a Google biz-opp in the account, paused? If so, it's probably just a delayed notice.

If you promote stuff like this, you should be aware of any and all legal risks associated with it. This year has proven that promoting offers that imply false association or endorsement makes you potentially legally liable for promoting the offer - I guess getting "slapped" for using the Google TM is better than getting thrown in a lawsuit, but who knows, that might be in store for you too.

ok mr smart fuck. what is the purpose of this comment. You dont have to run a bizzop to get slapped, you can get slapped for anything. You can get slapped for promoting acai or ringtones if your lp sucks.

Wow, what is up your ass? All I was saying is that calling them, as you suggested, has not proven effective in this particular case. As for the rest of what you said, the notice that was sent by Yahoo was related to Google "work at home" offers, biz ops. How about you have a clue what your talking about before you make a comment like this.
