There is a horor movie where a man is deprived of food. He's blind and can't eat himself. He's starving. Then the torturer puke in a bowl. The starving man then eagerly eat the puke out of that bowl.
It happens in real life. We are deprived of porn, hoe, and so many things free market provide. The torturer is our religious leaders. So we starve. The puke, is romance and marriage that many eat because they're starving.
People eat it because all the real food is illegal.
The only thing unrealistic about the movie is that the girl that do it is pretty. I seriously doubt any beautiful girl would believe in romance. Why should they? They can get laid without it.
