G'day,

Post your PC Specifications and people can rate it out of 10!

Since I don't own a PC at the moment, I can only post what I'm purchasing in a weeks time.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ AM2
ASUS M2N32 SLi-Deluxe nForce 590 SLi AM2
Seagate 250GB 16MB CACHE HDD
XFX GeForce 7900GT Extreme Edition

I'm only getting a 3500+ because I'm waiting for the 65nm AMD Brisbane's to come out.

Well. Post your PC. :)

Dont go with the AMD... wait til Intel release there new Conroe lineup.

Trust me.

just got the following built today. Already having a mobo issue that a friend is working on for me but here are the specs:

Intel P4-D Dual Core 3.2ghz
DDR2 4 gig ram
ATI Radeon 850XT PCIE
2x 250gb WD SATA drives

not a monster but not too shabby :)

I knew somebody was going to bring this up. Conroe is now known as Core 2 by the way. I'm not really concerned with Core 2 at the moment, people have to draw the line between what's needed and what they can have at an extra price. :p

Excuse the double post. :)

7/10. Not too bad, even though the GPU isnt all too strong compared to the latest, it gets the job done, and will do you until DirectX 10 is released. :)

yes, my budget was limited otherwise I was going to go nuts and get all the latest crap out there but I can guarentee it will do everything I want perfectly

Core 2 is cheaper and out performs any AMD on the market, and will continue to do so for quite sometime. (Stock and Overclocked) Prices of AMD chips are expected to fall nearly 40%. But even at that price its not going to compair with the Core 2... which is supposed to start sales for a cool $3xx.

I'm not sure what you mean...

Intel invented it, AMD innovatid it, Intel has now finshed it.

Anyways, my comp I built about 4 years ago. Its not great at all. Wont even post the specs... lets just say it wont even run BF2... haha.

But yea, as you can see I'm a hardcore Intel fan through and through and plan on waiting for the Core 2, amazing price, amazing performance... dont know what more I could ask for.

Ok, I'll try getting the "worst PC around" award...

I'll check on my exact specifications later, but for now it will suffice to say I'm running Win XP with 256 Ram :D

Had this for a few years
Pentium 4
2.4 GHz
1 GB RAM (started with 256)
80 GB 7200RPM hard-drive
DVD burner, and CD burner.

Does what I want--and that's asking quite a bit.

Hehe! The Core 2 is indeed looking excellent! I just don't want to wait -.-

Pentium 3.2C
1GB A-data DDR
ATI 9500 Pro

System is about 3 years old now. I'll probably upgrade in the next year or so.

Ive got the motherboard + cpu for very cheap, it's the only reason I went intel

2.8GHz Pentium D (dual core)
2gb Corsair DDR2 667 mhz
70gb 10k RPM Raptor
160gb SATA Seagate
120gb IDE Western Digital
256mb Nvidia 6800 XT PCI-16x
X-FI music card ( just got this 2 days ago, sounds awesome)
380 watt SeaSonic PSU
P180 Silent Antec Case

this entire setup cost me less than $500

Above two systems:

1) 8/10 (Considering money spent.)
- Stronger CPU Perhaps
- Stronger GPU (I'd wait until DirectX 10 for next upgrade).

2) 8/10
- CPU might become a bit of a bottleneck when going to upgrade other components.
- Pretty good on the whole.
