This is quite the story, at least I think, to say the least.

About two months ago, my girlfriend's house was robbed. In broad daylight, at about 9-10 am in the morning. The kicker is that we were at her college graduation, shitty thing to come home to huh? But in any event, with the robbery happening at that time, the person obviously knew her, and knew she was graduating. They stole the 50 inch DLP TV (how no one saw this leaving the house is beyond me), her laptop, and her ipod. They left both of her parents laptops, and two other desktops, along with everything else valuable in the house.

So the detectives absolutely suck ass. The first thought that came to my mind was her douche bag ex-boyfriend did it. The detectives over looked him. So about two weeks after this happened, with no progress, I googled her ex boyfriends screen name. Well what do you know, the prick is trying to sell a video ipod with a leather case (exactly what was stolen) with no usb cables (they left the cable). So, I didn't flip out right away, I did the right thing, saved the pages, screen shots etc etc, then we went to the police station. They told me to make up a fake email and contact him. This is the detectives telling me to do this mind you, to do their goddamn job. So I did, he obviously gets scared, knowing he fucked up posting it and responds saying someone hacked all of his email accounts and screen names, and then edits his post on the forum saying "his accounts have been compromised." He then tries to get the cached copy along with the search results removed from google, which he does, but then Google spidered the page again. I love google.

So now, the police file for a subpoena to get the records from the admin of the forum, since he was a complete cock and wouldn't answer any calls. I think, but I'm not sure, that the admin would be able to tell the IP of the original poster, and then the edit, which would prove he's lying about being hacked, and not having the ipod. The police get this, and the cock admin from the forum just disregards it. Supposedly numerous phone calls and emails were sent to him and he didn't respond to one. I joined his forum and PM'd him, he read the PM and didn't reply. Does anybody else think this is a little bit shitty? I seriously want to DDoS this guys forum. He could have provided some decent info, and possibly had the prick arrested, but now he's probably gotten rid of everything so basically nothing can be done.

It just disgusts me how someone can get robbed, and how shitty people act about it. The detectives suck for one for basically doing nothing. This is a small town and not much at all goes on. And that forum admin also sucks for not doing a damn thing. Well that was my first big rant. Sorry for the length.

Crappy situation. [Re: forum admin] – When a crime is committed people have "I didn't see anything" additude. Nobody wants to get involved but without witnesses and evidence the legal system is screwed.

My buddy had a bunch of his stuff stolen (including a laptop) right after he got married and moved into his new house. The thief cut himself on the basement window and tracked blood everywhere. The "best men crew" (myself included) pooled together a huge stash of cash for a wedding gift – all gonzo.

Round up some friends, go to the ex-boyfriend's house, and beat the snot out of him... then pull out a box cutter, take down his pants, and threaten to slice his family jewels. Make sure to bring a tape recorder to get his confession. You're not the police, so you can harass the crap out of him for a confession. Also, if you find the stuff, take pictures of it before you take it back to her place. This way you have tons of proof of it. And try to take pics of him before you kick his ass, so that it can look good in court.

If the cops ask you if you kicked his ass, just tell them -- "sorry, I heard his house was compromised and someone hacked their way in. Wasn't me."

"...And I don't know where to find the body." :pimp:

The best revenge is living well.

...still they are thieving pieces of shit.

What did you contact him saying?

Should have tried to lure as much information out as possible, would work better for a conviction.

Hahaha that's great.

I couldn't kick his ass before. The detective called me on the phone and told me not to do anything to him, because it would "affect" the investigation. I should have just beaten his ass back then when I knew he had the stuff, the detectives were worthless. But going to his house now to get the stuff back wouldn't do anything because it's definitely gone. But now that the detectives have decided not to do anything, I'm going to knock this kids teeth out when I get the chance to.

Yeah, I tried to. I asked if he still had the ipod, why he was getting rid of it, where he was located, and some other stuff. He definitely realized he messed up though when "someone" responded to his post.
