I didn't know it was possible to escape the knowledge that he attempted to propose to his wife with a national Super Bowl ad, and ended up buying an ad during her favorite show instead ( or some shit like that).
Wait. Yeah, he probably is gay. Add in doing the biz with his mom, his shoes, and a few other odds and ends and I'm pretty sure of it.
Think what you want about the guy (I fucking despise the entire whitehat white knight community of whiners, especially those like "Eppie" Daniel Vojt who shamelessly out existing sites solely to promote their own shitty tools) but you gotta respect his swagger:
More than impressive rev figures these days - I got their toolset back when they first launched so we have it locked in for essentially nothing. Way overpriced these days, IMO...
Something I just noticed - those revenue figures back in 07-09 are really surprising. This guy & SEOMoz got mountains of press and the whole time my company was outdoing them in consulting revenue? Pssht... I was taking some of their advice back then based on the thought "Well, they kick my ass in $$$ and have better infographs so they must know what they're talking about.
That's what I was thinking when I first saw his tweet.
As far as I'm concerned there are 3 forums you cannot ignore if you're into SEO: DP, WF and WaFo. (Aren't they the top 3 in terms of traffic anyway?)
I think Rand knew about WF a long time ago he was just trying to avoid us as much as possible lol
