Quick SOCK proxy question

When I input a SOCK proxy into firefox preferences (i put it for HTTP and all the other proxy slots), I only get blank pages when trying to browse the web.

What am i doing wrong here? How do i browse the web with SOCKs?

Ive tried many different proxies, and this happens with all thus far.

test them prior to see if they are even working

Yes..they all work fine. Can someone post a proxy they know for sure works when they browse the internet?

maybe they require login/password authentication? Firefox doesn't work with login/password socks5 proxies.

Your mistake is putting it into all slots. Remove it from all slots except socks slot.
