[Question] : Blogger?

I have two blogs one is a beauty content blog and the other is a fitness blog.

What I want to know is what steps should I take to get a better PR rating?

Would having a unique URL instead of a blogspot.com URL be better for that?

What types of way can I make money from these types of blogs once my PR ranking is better?

Here are the blogs to better explain.

you really should not care about PR , PR does not bring traffic or sales , what you need to worry about it having good search engines ranking and having traffic .
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't search engine ranking be the same as PR? Isn't it that the higher PR you have the higher ranking you have on Google?

- Don't worry about PR, if you want higher PR you need people linking to your content; preferably people linking that have high PR

- If you want to make money drop both the blogger blogs and get hosting + a domain

You can rank blogspot blogs as well as your own domains, if not a little more easily. The first sites I made were all on blogspot and they still make pretty good money. The problem is that you don't own the sites and Google/Blogspot can delete the blogs anytime they want, or change the rules anytime they want. Maybe someday they will say you can't advertise or sell on blogspot, who knows. Having your own domain is much better for the long term.

Thanks for the link, Ill be sure to check it out and read up on SEO.

Blogger now has an option to Publish on a custom domain, its a free hosting service, you just buy the domain.
 
PR isn't what you should be worried about. You should be worried about search engine ranking for specific keyword phrases. You've chosen some pretty competitive niches there to start out with.

If I were you, I'd go after a less-competativce niche-related long-tail to get your feet wet. Build an asston of backlinks until you get your blog where you want it in Google, and the PR will come.
 
buy a domain and hosting, install wordpress, install blogger import plugin, transfer site to new domain, say goodbye to blogger completely. then install seo plugins on wordpress like platinum seo, efficient related posts, seo search terms. ranking will then be easier.

blogger will still delete sites with custom domain bought through them with no explanation. i only use blogger now for sites that are promoting others or for friends who want a quick site made for their physical business.
