Alright, here is my scenario.
I have two adword accounts and they are both promoting generally the same thing.
An example, one is promoting olive garden and the other one promoting red lobster. This is just for the sake of the topic, I am not really promoting either but they similarities are key.
Both of these campaigns have equal competition which is next to none.
I launched campaign one with 5 cents a click, with a lot of keywords but the main source of traffic was +olive garden which has a quality score of 4.
I then decided to expand with campaign 2 on another adwords account red lobster. I added the keyword +red lobster along with others but the minimum first page bid is 30 cents. If I put it at 5 cents like the previous campaign, I get no impressions. I put it to the 30 cent mark and am finally getting impressions but at this CPC I would get an incredibly low ROI if not break even.
So my question is this. I am willing to take the hit at the beginning if my spend goes down over time. I've been doing a lot of reading and it seems like its based on the CTR which seems relatively high for these campaigns.
So, over time, when google sees that the ads perform well, will I be able to get 5 cent clicks or will it be a waste of money?
Any suggestions would help, thank you.
