FDA says HCG weight-loss products are illegal – - CNN.com Blogs

This is actually the 2nd batch of letters to go out, but when the FTC, the FDA, and state Attorney Generals all have this on their radar, it's time to get as far away from it as possible. Some people are going to end up in court over this, and affiliate networks have already demonstrated that they'll turn over their lists of affiliates who pushed these types of offers. The fallout from hcg is going to make the relatively minor acai crackdowns look like child's play.

Only those pushing homeopathic HCG are in trouble here. If you're actually pushing medical hcg, then you should be fine.

I have an option for medical HCG if you've got the traffic. PM me

Will your aff managers be bunking with affiliates at club fed?

Homeopathic products don't have enough of anything to be dangerous. It's just placebo.
The FDA called them dangerous with a low calorie diet. That only makes sense if they're talking about real HCG...

I don't have a network, just some experience in dealing with clinics and doctors who offer the service via telemedecine (yes, the real thing, online, through prescriptions). This is how so many HCG Diet "coaches" make a good portion of their money.

Please read the release on the FDA's site. They're going after the homeopathic HCG products.

This was coming for a while, their first release against homeopathic HCG was in Jan of this year if I'm not mistaken.

FDA has been saying this for awhile, they just never went after anyone because 1) it wasn't harming anyone; 2) they've got better things to do (see Yaz/Vioxx). But yes, the FDA is in full hater mode with HCG. Even though its the homeopathic right now it may extend to others. While I haven't done the HCG diet (i probably should) I know that the biggest thing is the actual diet, which is 500 calories a day? I inhale that many calories in my sleep.

I never heard telemedicine was approved. I remember years back for controlled weight loss products we wanted to do it but were shot down saying an actual physical exam in the presence of a doctor was absolutely necessary. Does the gov't differentiate between controlled and this stuff?
