yeah there is no explanation of anything, just that you got a C&D letter... what was the reason ? and what is going to happen to the users who bought the script ...
personally i dont see anything illegal with the script at all... the videos are just clips that are embeded from other video site...
I just bought it yesterday, i didnt even get time to install it !

You must be the person who I just emailed back about giving a refund because you just paid yesterday.
Also the C&D was because I was hotlinking to YouPorn and PornHub from a seperate website while using this software, if you don't hotlink to there websites and use there video embed codes in accordence with there TOS then the use of the software should be fine but I'm no lawyer so use at your own risk.
It basically revolves around me using the software to hotlink to there sites while breaking there websites TOS which by there standards is grounds for a copyright infringment suit.
Hence the reason why I complied with there C&D and did what they wanted me to do.
Adam. I just emailed you about a website that users upload videos at and get paid..But they can only upload copyright free shit..I don't know what their TOS is but I am damn sure that their videos wont have URLS or watermakrs..You gotta get this shit fixed man Or Im gonna have alot of angry mother fuckers at my ass..My moronic ass found a market for this and now its being ripped away
The site take down will not effect any installs or future installs of anyone who already has the newest version the older version will be effected but people should have upgraded anyway.
I do regret following there C&D but I'm not about to ignore the advice of my lawyer just to get sued.
Aequitas, if you would modify the script to allow for the admin to upload hosted vids (like I suggested a while back) and not provide a database of preloaded hotlinked vids, that would make it legal as you would then only be providing a tube site CMS and the liability for any content would fall on the owners of the individual sites...
the actual uploading could be done by ftp in batches or something... all you would need to add would be an admin interface to enter the flv url, title, category, description, etc. in the database...
no need to waste all the time you spent on it... just evolve it to be a more legit CMS...
