DAND DOOD!

My appartemnet is worth $200,000!!! And its only a 2 bedroom place about the size of a shed! haha.

I do live in Devon though, which is one of (if not THE) most expensive places to buy a home in the UK.

My mates parents have an average sized 3 bedroom house with a big garden in the country which is worth just under $1,000,000.

House prices are insane.

That is nuts!
Sounds like California.
Right now our real estate market is equal to a pile of warm dog shit, so it's great if you are looking to buy. Our foreclosure rates are astronomical right now.

The house I was renting, It was brand spankin new, I was the first to ever live in it... The owner still got some mail there, and I can't say I broke the law by looking in any of it, but my "guess" is that some of it was mortgage papers that said they purchased the house for $330,000
;) ;) ;)

When my 6 month lease was up, they were trying to sell the house for $265,000. haha
I didn't like them anyways.

But, its great if you have credit and some cash... I WISH I had good credit. If I did, I would be penny pinching for the next year, and that is when it should hit rock bottom, and I'd go buy myself a house.

Too bad. : \

And Peach...
I have no idea how you guys over there do it.
Maybe you drive less on average than we do here?

I bought my Cadillac 6 months ago with 96,000 miles on it
I'm now over 110,000
Thats ALL city driving.

Thats with an average of $2.30-$2.60 a gallon...
And I get about 18 Mpg/City

haha, i wish i had good credit too. Mine sucks really REALLY bad. Banks won't touch me. One day i'll get rich and piss all over them though.

*INSERT EVIL LAUGH HERE*

Comparing housing between the two countries is a bit complicated. You can't just go off of what they look like, or in terms of square footage, because the housing market varies so much depending on where you live.

The area that I live in, a small ranch style house, full basement, totally about 1,100 sq ft, might go for around $80k, pending on age and what shape it's in. In another part of the country, the same house, WITHOUT a basement go's for $200k.

In fact, my sister-in-law that lives in one of these high priced areas is going to sell her house and move out here. All the extra cash she gets from the sale is going to pay for her house here.... completely.

Wouldn't that be nice... no more rent/mortgage.

Heh, I hear you bro-spend 2weeks in turkey which will cost you about 70quid (for 2weeks) and then go back to western Europe.

I want to fucking cry. But I won't.

:/
