PPV average ctr stats?

working with directcpv right now and about to get into trafficvance but before i do i wanted to ask you guys some questions that i haven't found the answer too on the forums before I start pumping money into ppv.

1. What is a good ctr % to aim for with ppv traffic?

I know there are a lot of variables that could change the outcome but typically what is a good % to go by?

I am bidding on keywords related to the offer im pushing and I get maybe 1-3 click throughs per 100 views. This isn't an email submit offer or anything so this wont make or break my campaign but this still is a very low number right?

i've tested a couple different landers. Some eye catching and others just basic looking with some info and a call to action button. They all seem to have the same low click through rate. Is this typical of ppv traffic?



2. How does the keyword targeting work? If a user is on google for example and they type in a keyword i target does a ad pop up? or does the software look at the website the user is on and looks for keywords on the site which triggers the ads?

yup. whether u make shit or not depends on the offer, network, targeting URL's/keywords...unfortunately there's no right or wrong answer, you just have to figure it out (and this does cost money).
