Jeeps aren't Dodge. I had a Plymouth once which is almost, kinda sorta a Dodge.
Last time I paid attention, Fiat was majority owner of Chrysler, Jeep was a division of Chrysler.

Couple of weeks ago I was running a Bikini top and no doors. For heathen, that means the top was a vinyl sheet strapped to the "sport bars" which some consider a roll cage. My wife and my dog don't like riding with no roof and no doors. I took an hour and put the doors and the roof back on.

People who crave the "fast" cars amuse me. What's the point?
 


Recently fall in love with this far. Love the front..sides..the back and the interior.

0-60 in 3.3 seconds..so the power is there too.
 
^ I don't drive, but when I start, I'm getting a black Volga. No electronics, just metal. Also good for ramming into sign posts/pedestrians because you won't be paying too much for repairs and it's good to learn to handle a real car. #YOLOinCCCP

I bought a new one years ago, exhaust stunk like sulfer, dealer said nothing wrong, arbitration said nothing. Paint faded on hood, body shop said bad factory paint, dodge said not their problem. Air wouldn't cool car, dealer said the air doesn't cool the car it only removes humidity, later said it was blowing out xx degrees, still didn't cool car. I've probably bought 20 cars since then, none have been or ever will be a chrysler product.
 
I have a dodge, a dodge caliber to be exact. I bought it new before I was making money in rebills. Its the low end base model, 2007 year ( bought in 2006 ).

Its been 7 years now since I owned it and 160K miles racked up on it.

Not a single issue or problem with it ever other then normal wear and tear and expected issues at that mileage ( other then brakes + filters/oil, I had a leaky water pump and 02 sensors that needed change ). I have all my manfu. recommended services done on time and as needed per their specs and I am religious about it.

I only bought it to drive long distances to work ( I live in a rural area, so I had to drive to the city daily over 130 miles a day total, 5 days a week mostly ).

Best $12k I ever spent on a car in terms of nothing going wrong, cheap, and good on gas for a 4 door hatch back. I am prob. going to garage it soon and wait 3 years until my son hits 16 and let him drive it as his first car.


Also, as far as Chrysler products go, the Jeep 4.0 is one of the most dependable engines on the road ( many of which reach to and above the 300k mile marker ) and the 318 is also very durable ( if taken care of ). The 318 I think is actually the most widely produced engine as well ( beating out the SB chevy ). Also, if you want a bulletproof engine that is good on economy ( you have to go back a few years for this one ), nothing beats the Slant Six motor that was used in cars and boats from the 60's to the 80's from Dodge. The only other engine to go toe to toe with it was the 300 I6 from Ford and the Volvo I4.
 
Also, I still see a bunch of those boxy 4 door economy cars from Chrysler and dodge still on the road to this day. They look a lot like this:

something tells me they must last a long time.

Doubtful, GM has made almost 100 million small blocks. It's also listed as the best engine of the 20th century. Sorry to hear you had to replace a water pump and o2 sensors, I know that sucks, but you should feel luck that's all it was.

first car was a Grand Cherokee.. then i had the Envoy XUV... i've also driven Jeep Wrangler & the Jeep Commander for extended periods/trips

I love jeeps
