Ha, not sure what to think or even if I care really, but I was curious if I actually done something that was "poor tact" last night.

Short Story Version:
I was doing some SEM EDU lead gen for a company as an employee for a few months. Gave my 2 weeks on Tuesday because a good friend that is a prior client of mine gave me % of his current running company and made me CMO of the ecommerce biz he runs and 2 other ventures he is starting up.

Wednesday night I update my LinkedIn to reflect this even though I am at the old gig still until the 26th. I ask for a few connections on LinkedIn from my current co-workers before I leave ( not a endorsement or recommendation, but just to connect before I leave ).

I find out my CMO was put off by my action on LinkedIn and thought it was bad timing and poor tact. I was informed by another higher up that I should apologize since they want me to do contract work with them for the next 6 months. I could care less about this contract work, I offered it to them because they really be in a bind after I leave and have no one else to do it for them properly.

Is it poor tact and bad timing to update your LinkedIn profile showcasing a new position while still at an old one?

Thoughts?
I didn't think much about it all, but I did end up wondering if I made myself look like an ass or something. Maybe I am just being Beta and so is my current CMO.

Why does your Facebook status say single?

Don't say your sorry fuck that... That would be low. Sounds like someone on there end is upset at losing you.
Everyone is differnet and it is always someones period somewhere.

Play it soft cuz you never know when you may need to sell them something. No reason to brun any bridge over dumbshit.

Sure, you can let your ego get the best of you and be like "Fuck you"

But I'm a believer in not burning bridges if not needed. Just say your sorry and whatever. Kiss and make up.

Then once officially out, be the champ. If you say they need you for the contract work, come off like a star in the beginning, then fuck with there little hearts once you show how dependent they are on you. But to be a dick over a "linkedin" page, not sure what the return would be.

And fuck, connections are a dime a dozen, get recommendations from those mofos, especially if you're doing result based work.

^^ This was my initial reaction

^^ true

the best time to build connections and reccomendations is when you dont need them

what you did on linkedin is a little distasteful but that CMO is being kind of faggish about it

^^ yeah I really don't need them, but I figured asking for connections and recommendations while at a place was distasteful ( why would I be asking for recommendations to pump up my future "employment" somewhere while at my current job type of thing ).

It's not like I was rubbing it in at anyone, just seen it as time to connect with people since I was leaving and wanted to get them in my circle.

Also you know the fucking answer already. We didn't need to spell it out to you. So therefore, I suggest in return for my reply you post tits.

Not really, no. There's no harm in changed it on LinkedIn. The OAG meme is perfect for this scenario.

I remember trolling eliquid in a LukeP thread saying that he probably has a 9 to 5 job and is doing SEO shit on the side. Turns out I was right.

At least now eliquid is a big shot for his friend's company.

Also yes it's poor tact, but I'd expect nothing less from a guy like that. After all, eliquid was defending lschmidt for not tipping the pizza guy. Lschmidt is another WF success story that is now "happily" working at the "start up division" of an established company.

Yeah, it was definitely premature and distasteful. You should leave your last job being happy about the experiences and who you worked with and keep your negative thoughts to yourself. It's always better to have more people on your side.

What was negative about it? He updated his employment, not slammed the employer.

Whoever said anything about negative thoughts?

Sorry, we all cant up and move to a 3rd world country and live on $1 noodles and 20 year old coke in glass bottles so we can make ends meet on our savings.

Im sure if I made $20 a day and only spend $1 on roasted dog daily, I could live like you.

I like how this hater stalks WF waiting for me to post..

Now that LukeP has left, he has nothing better to do down in his basement.

Great work showing off your ignorance.

Hong Kong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As one of the world's leading international financial centres, Hong Kong has a major capitalist service economy characterised by low taxation and free trade, and the currency, Hong Kong dollar, is the eighth most traded currency in the world.[28] The lack of space caused demand for denser constructions, which developed the city to a centre for modern architecture and the world's most vertical city.[29][30] Hong Kong has one of the highest per capita incomes in the world.[6]

Can you please keep posting so that you can look even stupider in your own thread?
