Wow, Superman, you've been having the shittiest time with all the online money making stuff.

I mean, you get screwed by PayPal, by a mod over at Black Hat, a few other things too...

Either you've got the worst luck, have "sucker" tattooed on your forehead in non-reflective ink, or used to be Hitler and Karma is getting you back.

Seriously, I've got a few different things going with PayPal, maybe about $50K a year's worth, and the only problem I've ever had with them is when they refused to refund my $22 from an eBay purchase that never showed up.

They have always had my back, I can't really bitch. But I can see how they have screwed others over.

Paypal is a medium thats good and bad for both sellers and buyers. The key is to manage your total exposure as a whole. In business your going to take some hits and some gains. Its just facts. I find its better to not sweat the hits and focus on the gains and at years end you will be happier. Cant ignore paypal its a viable platform for income. Mash it and collect.

paypal rocks

I have to take the other side on this issue. I love paypal it gives me a chance to get in the game without loosing an arm and a leg. If i have to pay a small fee who gives a shit. I couldn't afford to be with out it! :rasta:

????? At 2.9% they're expensive as shit.

Just had a Canadian transfer come to me, e-cheque. Not only did PP ass-rape me on currency conversion rates, it took them nearly two weeks to clear the payment despite the fact that a couple of days after it was sent I had a scan of the confirmation of clearing from the sender's bank. I hate PayPal so much it makes me throw up into my mouth a little every time I use them. On top of their shit service and outlandish fees, they run the service (and by proxy, eBay) like a mini police state.

Those of us who sued PP back a few years ago never got full satisfaction btw; even after the settlement they dicked around on payment and to this day -- seven years after the fact -- I've never seen any explanation at all as to what constituted "suspicious behaviour" which resulted in my account being frozen, aside from the obvious (I wanted to liquidate and close the account, so they froze it for "suspicious activity.")

PayPal being the #1 payment service is like American Idol being the top TV show -- it's no suprise when you think about who makes up the bulk of the consumers. Use with care.

Paypal has been good to me thus far *knock on wood* I have had buyers try to rip me off and paypal makes sure that I am taken care of. I think they are more weary of people who try to cheat the system or are known for being shady. Sometimes people get in the crossfire, but shit happens. What more can you do but just get up and dust yourself off and keep moving, keep making the money.

Keep your chin up.

I put money on it that benz you've been law of attracting in your kooky numbnut skull hasn't popped into existence and never will

:anon.sml:

I'd say go with e-gold type programs, it'd be better if we all switched over to these sorts of programs instead of this middleman paypal bullshit... They're not even a middleman worth working with.

if it makes you feel any better

about 7 years ago i overdrew my paypal acct to something like 60 bucks and never bothered paying it back. i just added a middle initial a few years later and opened a new account. so, at least someone screwed over paypal...for once.

Haha.

Nice one kingosp, glad someone's taken some of there cash for once.

For the rest of you noobs saying "paypal are ok"... make no mistake, those fuckers will throw you around like a basket ball you if you look at them wrong. You wouldnt believe the shit those paypal assholes put me through.

I'm not going to discuss it as its long been done with, but yeah, be damn careful with how you deal with PayPal, thats the best advice you can use.... be damn careful. Always think, "can they track this?". If they can and you think its even SLIGHTLY dodgy what you are going to buy / sell / transact, don't do it. Also don't leave too much cash in your paypal account either unless you don't care if it gets frozen for the next 6 months because of some stupid "fraud" bullshit.

They can't be trusted as rock-solid for your business... quite literally sleep with one eye open when it comes to PayPal.... otherwise you'll be the next PayPal horror story.

P.S. Don't even THINK of making a second paypal account (with different name) from the same IP.

P.P.S Fucking Paypal assholes. :D
