I just posted about this in my blog, but I wanted to get some feedback from everyone.

Has anyone tried using paid blogging services like ReviewMe or PayPerPost to link to an affiliate landing page? Bloggers tend to have extreamly loyal readers who will do anything they say.

For instance, you could create a landing page for a keyword research tool, then buy a post on an SEO blog. Posts aren't very expensive, and you're appealing to an audience that already spends a lot of money on these products. Not to mention, the blogger is already doing all the preselling for you.

It just makes sense, seems like there is a lot of open opportunity there.

With reviewme, it may be a tough deal as they aren't required to give you a positive spin. On the other hand, with PayPerPost it may work.

Yeah that's true, but there are plenty of awesome tools out there. You'd have to be pretty lazy to just pick whatever you found first, without actually knowing if it's a good product or now.

A few days ago I just got my second order from Reviewme for my blog. I am trying to be kind of fair to the advertiser. They want to get something out of it and I got to respect that. I highlighted good and bad stuff of their product, mentioned things I would do different - stuff like that. Overall I'd say they got a fair value for their money with some helpful recommendations, too (free of charge so to speak :laughing-smiley-007 ).

Don't you have to disclose that its a paid post with payperpost though? I would think that would have some effect on the loyalty of the readers.

Possibly but, if users already trust the blogger, and the review is good, they'll take the bloggers word for it. If it's good, it's good, regardless of if it's paid or not.

I am a PayPerPost Blogger. They now require you to have a link to your 'Disclosure Policy' .. DisclosurePolicy.org: Disclosure Policy, Disclosure Policy Generator - However, you do not have to disclose that it is an advertisement directly in your post unless the advertiser requests that you do. You do however have to write a pos/neg/neutral review depending on the advertiser's specifications.

Recently I've noticed a ton of niche websites asking PayPerPost Bloggers to write about their sites (Its a good way to identify some new niches =) ). John Chow is even currently on there as an advertiser asking people to write about his site. I'm speculating that he might write a blog post about it soon depending on how it goes.
