Hey guys,

I run SunPoker.com (I am the poker Manager), and in times of recession, it seems that the things that soar are Gambling, Porn and booze.

If anyone has any questions about working with poker sites let me know! :)

Greg

Some places to up to 40% rev share for the lifetime of a customers spend, and some players drop $2k+ a week. Got about 800 autogened blackhat poker sites I released the other day, hopefully they'll see some traffic.

It's only going to get bigger! I think the US gov't will legalize online gambling for US citizens within the next 5 years..

Online poker sites can run massive tournaments with huge payouts, this brings the masses. Hell ya online poker is going nowhere soon!

Nope its actually because of the continued influx of the Asian and European penetration on the internet, its going up so hot services like Gambling will also follow suit, not to mention other areas like RingTones may see a small increase but not a large one, ect...

I've heard gambling always flourishes during recession, kind of makes sense, people get desperate and need an escape.

I agree, especially during these times I wouldn't be surprised that this niche has dramatically increased.

I used to do a lot of AM for pkr.com and have a few thousand Americans signed up, sadly that god damn bill passed and put a real choke on my earnings. I recommend looking into Canadians though for marketing too because we are hooked on online poker and have no silly online gambling restrictions.

Europe is the other obvious choice but the market there is very tough.

I used to work in this space and it can be VERY profitable but it's a totally different ballgame. No PPC, very few places that allow media buys. Top ranking sites with real content are the true winners in the space. It's hard work, but it's definitely a niche that ain't going anywhere soon.
Watch out for shady CPA networks. Make sure they pay their pubs and make sure they pay their players. If they don't pay one they probably won't pay the other.
Also, if you're in it for the long haul, consider Rev Share over a CPA. It's nice to get those residuals month after month.
